국문 초록

[연구목적] 본 연구의 목적은 교사들이 사회적 지지를 어떻게 심리적으로 처리하고 그 결과 질 높은 직무 행동에 어떻게 반영되어 나타나는지를 알아보는 것이다. [연구방법] 이 연구는 500명의 교사에게 설문지를 보냈고 230명이 응답하였다. 응답자의 62.6%는 여성이었고, 응답자 중 36.5%는 11년 이상의 교직 경력을 가지고 있었다. 구조방적식 모델 소프트웨어인 LISREL 9.2와 IBM SPSS Statistics 23을 이용하여 데이터를 분석하였다. 사회적 지원 및 정산주기와 질높은 교사 행동의 관계를 알아보기 위해 중다회귀분석을 하였고, 사회적 지원에 대한 틀짜기 효과(framing effect)와 사회적 지원의 유출효과(spillover effect)를 알아보기 위하여 구조방정식 분석을 하였다. [연구결과] 연구 결과 긍정적·부정적 사회적 지지는 심리적으로 별도로 처리되는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 부정적 사회적 지지는 손실보다는 비용으로 처리되는 것으로 드러났다. 나아가 학생으로부터 긍정적 사회적 지지가 업무에 관한 교사의 행동에 유출효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. [결론] 교사의 사회적 지원을 둘러싼 정신적 심리계좌의 작동 기제에 관한 지식을 확장함으로써 사회적 지지와 교사 행동 사이 모호한 관계를 밝히는 데 기여할 것이다. 아울러 교사의 헌신을 유도하려는 교원인사정책을 수립할 때 학교 내 사회적 지지를 중요한 변인을 고려해야 한다는 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to examine how teachers perform the mental operations of social support, which are expressed as variations in their high-quality role behaviors. [Methods] This research examined issues such as account bracketing, framing, spillover effects, and the balance period pertinent to the processing of social support with the methods of multiple regression and structural equation modeling. [Results] Results indicated that accounts of positive and negative social support are processed separately, and negative social support is regarded as a cost rather than loss. This study also revealed the spillover effects in the path from positive social support from students to teachers’ behaviors concerning administrative affairs. [Conclusion] The addition of knowledge about mental processing will reduce a part of the ambiguous relationship of social support with teacher behaviors by explaining the mechanism between them.
