국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 미술 활동이 영아의 자기조절능력과 창의성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 연구대상은 광주광역시의 어린이집 4곳의 만 2세 영아 28명(실험집단 14명, 비교집단 14명)으로, 실험집단은 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 미술 활동에, 비교집단은 표준보육과정의 생활주제와 연계한 미술 활동에 참여하였다. 본 연구는 글 없는 그림책 선정, 검사자 훈련, 예비연구, 사전검사, 교사교육, 실험 처치, 사후검사 등의 절차로 이루어졌으며, 실험 처치는 2020년 12월 28일부터 2021년 2월 19일까지 8주 동안 총 16회 시행되었다. 연구결과, 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 미술 활동에 참여한 실험집단 영아의 자기조절능력과 창의성이 유의하게 향상한 것으로 나타났다. 자기조절능력의 2개 하위영역과 창의성의 5개 하위영역 모두에서 실험집단 점수가 비교집단보다 유의하게 향상하였다. 이는 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 미술 활동이 영아의 자기조절능력과 창의성에 미치는 긍정적 영향을 보여준다. 본 연구는 이야기가 정해지지 않은 글 없는 그림책을 활용한 미술 활동을 통해 영아의 자기조절능력과 창의성이 효과적으로 향상할 수 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 본 연구는 영아의 자기조절능력과 창의성을 효과적으로 향상할 수 있는 교수-학습 활동을 제시하는 데 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the effects of art activities using wordless picture books on infants’ self-regulation and creativity. Participants consisted of twenty-eight 2-year-old infants who were going to 4 daycare in Gwangju metropolitan city. Fourteen infants belonged to the experimental group and fourteen infants to the comparative group. The experimental group conducted art activities using wordless picture books, and the comparative group carried out art activities according to the standard children curriculum. This study was conducted according to the process of choosing wordless picture books, training tester, pretest, teacher education, experiment, and post test. The experiment was carried out a total of 16 times for 8 weeks from the 28th of December in 2020 to the 19th of February in 2021. The results of this study showed that the self-regulation and creativity of the experimental group were improved meaningfully. That is to say, the scores of two sub factors of self-regulation and five sub factors of creativity of the experimental group were meaningfully higher than those of the comparative group. This result demonstrated that art activities using wordless picture books affected positively infants’ self-regulation and creativity. This study indicated that infants’ self-regulation and creativity could increase effectively through art activities using wordless picture books without a fixed story. It is significant that this study demonstrates teaching-learning activities to improve infants’ self-regulation and creativity effectively.
