영문 초록

It is difficult to achieve favorable outcomes when treating inflammatory or tumorous lesions occurring in frontal sinus or that which extends to frontal sinus from paranasal sinuses with a single surgical approach. We present two cases with inflammatory lesions in the frontal and ethmoid sinus. In both cases, inflammatory lesions were removed via intracranial approach after opening the frontal sinus and the rest of lesions were extirpated through endonasal endoscopic approach. There were no neurologic sequelae or surgical complication during the procedure and both patients recovered quickly after the adjuvant antibiotic treatment. In these cases, we can recommend that the combination of the intracranial and endonasal endoscopic approaches is a very useful method for treating inflammatory lesions occurring in frontal sinus.
