또래애착이 게임중독에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

최근 정부가 발표한 규제 챌린지 내용에 따르면 게임 셧다운 제도가 10년만에 폐지된다고 한다. 청소년의 게임 이용은 PC뿐만 아니라 모바일에서도 심각하다고 평가되어 앞으로 청소년 게임 중독 문제는 더욱 심화되는 것은 아닌지 우려하는 목소리가 높다. 더구나 최근엔 새로운 오미크론 바이러스의 확산으로 코로나 19 기간이 예상보다 길어질 가능성이 높아졌는데, 코로나19는 외부 활동의 기회를 감소시켜 청소년의 디지털미디어의 사용을 증가시킨다. 따라서 청소년들이 게임에 몰입하게 될 가능성이 더욱 높아지게 되므로 청소년의 게임중독 문제에 대한 심도있는 논의가 필요하다. 게임중독 관련 연구들을 보면, 게임중독에 영향을 미치는 요인들이 다양하다. 그 중 청소년기라는 발달 단계의 특성 상 또래애착과 자아탄력성은 특히 중요한 요인이라고 할 수 있으며 실제 관련 연구들에서도 또래애착과 자아탄력성 및 게임중독은 서로 관련성이 있다고 밝히고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 또래애착이 게임중독에 미치는 영향 관계에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 또래애착은 자아탄력성에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고 자아탄력성은 게임중독에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 또래애착은 게임중독에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 매개효과의 검증을 위하여 붓스트래핑을 실시한 결과에서도 또래애착은 자아탄력성을 매개로 게임중독에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과에 따라 또래애착이 게임중독에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 자아탄력성이 매개효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

According to the regulation challenge announced by the government recently, the game shutdown system will be abolished after 10 years. Youth gaming is evaluated to be serious not only on PC but also on mobile, so there are many voices concerned about whether the problem of youth game addiction will worsen in the future. Moreover, recently, due to the spread of the new Omicron virus, the possibility that the period of Corona 19 will be longer than expected has increased. Therefore, as the possibility that adolescents become more immersed in games, an in-depth discussion on the problem of game addiction among adolescents is necessary. If you look at the studies related to game addiction, there are various factors that influence game addiction. Among them, peer attachment and ego resilience are particularly important factors due to the characteristics of the developmental stage of adolescence, and related studies also reveal that peer attachment, ego resilience, and game addiction are related to each other. Therefore, this study tried to examine the mediating effect of ego resilience in the relationship between peer attachment and game addiction. As a result, it was found that peer attachment had a significant positive effect on ego resilience, ego resilience had a significant positive effect on game addiction, and peer attachment had a significant positive effect on game addiction. In the results of bootstrapping to verify the mediating effect, it was found that peer attachment affects game addiction through ego resilience as a medium. According to these results, it was found that ego resilience has a mediating effect in the process of peer attachment affecting game addiction.
