공립유치원교사가 육아휴직 후 복직한 첫 학기에 경험하는 교사로서의 정체성 형성 과정

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 공립유치원교사가 육아휴직 후 복직한 첫 학기의 경험을 분석함으로써 교사로서 그들의 정체성 형성 과정을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 3명의 공립유치원교사들의 복직 후 초기 6개월간의 일-가정양립과 교직재적응경험을 분석함으로써 이들이 자신들의 교사 정체성을 어떻게 규정하고 개념화하는지 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서는 질적 연구방법을 설계하여 총 14회의 개별면담을 실시하고, 11편의 저널을 수집하여 그 내용을 분석하였다. 분석한 결과 일-가정양립과 교직재적응경험은 ‘결국엔 사람. 사람을 통해 극복해낸 공백의 시간’, ‘교직재적응을 위해 넘어야 할 벽. 업무 스트레스’, ‘미안한 엄마와 힘겨운 엄마선생님 그리고 민폐 동료교사 ’, ‘시나브로 유치원교사의 전문성을 키운 육아휴직 경험’, ‘교직 재적응. 아직은 진행 중’으로 범주화할 수 있었다. 그리고 육아휴직 후 복직한 공립유치원교사들은 스스로를 ‘교실이라는 무대에서 행복을 만들고 실현하는 존재’, ‘가르침과 동시에 모성의 돌봄을 실천하는 엄마선생님’, ‘유아들의 안전을 책임지는 존재’, ‘더 나은 세상을 위한 인적 환경을 만들어가는 교사’로 자신의 교사정체성을 규정하고 있었다.

영문 초록

The objective of this study is to examine the formation process of identity as public kindergarten teachers by analyzing their experiences in the first semester when returning to work after parental leave. By analyzing the work-family balance and experience in readaptation to teaching profession during the first semester after three public kindergarten teachers returned to work, it examined how they defined and conceptualized their identity of teacher. Designing the qualitative research method, this study conducted total 14 times of individual interview, and then collected 11 journals to analyze the contents. In the results of the analysis, The work-family balance and experience in readaptation to teaching profession could be categorized as ‘eventually person. hours of vacuum overcoming through person’, ‘wall that should be overcome for the readaptation to teaching profession’, ‘mother feeling sorry and mother feeling difficult, teacher, and colleague teacher causing harm’, ‘experience of parental leave growing professionalism of kindergarten teacher little by little’, and ‘readaptation to teaching profession, still in progress . Such public kindergarten teachers returning to work after parental leave defined their identity of teacher as ‘a being creating and realizing happiness on the stage of classroom’, ‘a mother-like teacher practicing maternal care on top of teaching’, ‘a being taking the responsibility of children s safety’, and ‘a teacher creating the human world for the better world .
