InVEST 모델을 이용한 무등산 국립공원 일대 서식처 가치 평가와 NDVI 비교 연구

국문 초록

도시화가 진행됨에 따라 도시 내의 생태계서비스와 생물다양성이 위협받고 있으면서 동시에 이를 보호하기 위한 정량적 평가에 대한 논의가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 생태계서비스를 정량적으로 평가하기 위한 방법 중 한가지로 InVEST 모델이 널리 쓰이고 있으며 이 중 서식처 가치 평가 모델은 생태계서비스 중 지지서비스를 평가하는 모델로써 토지이용변화에 따른 서식처의 가치를 평가할 수 있는 유용한 도구이다. 이번 연구에서는 무등산 국립공원과 광주광역시 일대를 연구 대상지로 선정하여 서식처 가치 평가를 진행하였고, 이를 식생활력도 지수를 나타내는 NDVI와 함께 비교하였다. 서식처 가치 평가 결과 무등산 국립공원의 경우는 서식처 가치가 높게 나왔으나 광주광역시를 중심으로는 서식처 가치가 낮게 도출되었으며, 국립공원과 도심지역이 뚜렷이 구분되는 모습을 확인할 수 있었다. NDVI와 비교 결과 서식처 가치 평가 결과와 비슷한 양상을 보였으며, 상관관계 또한 높게 도출되어 서로 비슷한 경향을 확인할 수 있었다. 후속 연구로는 InVEST 모델을 국내에 적용시키기 위한 논의와 이를 보완할 수 있는 다른 환경 분석 기법과 함께 비교 연구가 이뤄져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

As urbanization growths rapidly, ecosystem services and biodiversity in the city are threatened, and at the same time, discussions on quantitative assessments to protect them are actively underway. The InVEST model is widely used as one of the methods for quantitatively assessing ecosystem services, and the habitat quality evaluation model is a model for evaluating support services among ecosystem services and is a useful tool for assessing the value of habitats due to changes in land use. In this study, Mudeungsan National Park and Gwangju Metropolitan City were selected as research sites to evaluate the value of habitats and compared them with NDVI, which shows normalized difference vegetation index. As a result of the habitat value evaluation, Mudeungsan National Park had a high habitat value, but Gwangju Metropolitan City had a low habitat value, and the national park and downtown area were clearly distinguished. Comparing with NDVI, the results were similar to those of the habitat quality, and the correlation was also highly derived to identify similar trends. Subsequent studies will require discussions to apply the InVEST model to the country and comparative studies with other environmental analysis techniques to supplement it.
