영문 초록

This study suggests two research questions to examine the differences between a new Poomsae and an approved-Poomsae and to verify values of the new Poomsae. First, Is the difference in kicks observed when comparing the new Poomsae with the official Poomsae? Secondly, does the new Poomsae complement the approved-Poomsae in Taekwondo and show the difference from the certified ones? For the study, seven Taekwondo masters, including researchers, were asked to classify Poomsae kicks based on judgment sampling, and research participants analyze the kicks of the approved-Poomsae and the new Poomsae through a questionnaire, and divide the kicks of each Poomsae into three skills: basic kick, demonstration kick, and competition kick. In-depth interviews were conducted with one-on-one or group discussions to gather the classification questionnaires. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, compared to the approved-poomsae, the number of kicks increased and the variety of kick types could be found. and secondly, Poomsae training will help gradually improve the demonstration kick and the competition kick.
