중도·중복 장애 교육 연구의 동향 및 과제

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 특수학교에서 중도·중복장애학생들이 점차 늘어나고, 교육적인 패러다임의 변화로 학생들의 개별적인 장애특성과 교육적인 요구에 관심을 가지게 되었으며, 국가수준교육과정에서 그동안 논의조차 되지 않았던 중도·중복장애학생에 대한 교과교육의 내실을 기할 것이 강조되면서, 중도·중복장애학생의 교육에 관한 연구동향을 고찰하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 국내 석·박사학위 논문과 학술지 논문 총 43편을 분석하여 연구동향을 조망하고, 향후의 연구 과제를 탐색한 결과, 첫째, 중도·중복장애학생의 학습 가능성에 대한 긍정적인 인식이 확대되면서 개별적인 장애특성과 요구에 적절한 교육내용과 교육방법이 제공되어져야 한다고 보고 있었다. 둘째, 교육상황에서 가장 큰 어려움이 되고 있는 것으로 나타난 의사소통은 중도·중복장애학생의 모든 신체적인 반응을 소통의 의도를 가지는 것으로 보았고, 교사와 학생의 교육활동 과정에서의 상호적인 관계 형성이 바탕이 되는 『공감적 의사소통』에 대해 논의되고 있었다. 셋째, 중도·중복장애학생 교육에 관한 연구과제는 학교수준 교육과정 운영에 대해 실제적인 접근이 필요하다고 보고, 중도·중복장애학생들의 개별적인 특성과 요구에 적절한 교과 운영에 관한 연구, 다양한 교수방법 적용에 관한 연구, 중도·중복장애학생의 교육활동을 평가하는 구체적인 방안에 대한 연구와 다양한 방법에 의한 연구를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

While educational access for Special education Students has lately been emphasized, this study desires to consider a study trend on education for severe and multiple disabled students. For this study, as a result of surveying a study trend by analyzing total 43 domestic master’s and doctoral theses and academic journal articles, and exploring the future study task, first, while positive recognition for the learning disabilities of severe and multiple disabled students was expanded, educational contents and methods suited to individual disabled characteristics and demands should be offered. Second, about communication that is the biggest difficulty in educational situation, every physical response of severe and multiple disabled students has an intention of communication, and studies focused on ‘empathic communication’ based on a formation of a relationship between teacher and student in educational activity. Third, a study task for education of severe and multiple disabled students needs an actual access to the operation of a school-level of curriculum, so suggested studies on a curriculum management suited to individual characteristics and demands of severe and multiple disabled students, on application of various teaching methods, and on detailed methods evaluating an educational activity of severe and multiple disabled students.
