국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 상상력에 대한 철학적 해명을 토대로 예술에서 상상력이 갖는 의미에 대한 규명과 함께 시간예술로서의 음악에 상상력을 적용하는데 있다. 이러한 목적 달성을 위해 상상력 개념에 대한 역사적 접근을 통해 상상력 개념의 변천과정과 그 본성에 대해 살펴보고, 예술과 상상력과의 상관관계에 대한 철학적 접근을 통해 음악에 적용하고자 한다. 상상력은 예술에서의 창조활동에 있어, 핵심적인 역할을 수행한다. 상상력에 대한 플라톤, 아리스토텔레스, 홉스, 흄, 칸트의 상상력 이론을 통해 철학적 접근에서 알 수 있듯이 예술에서의 창의성 역시 상상력에서 비롯된다. 예술 활동에서 음악적 상상력은 작곡 연주, 감상활동에서 핵심적인 역할을 수행할 뿐만 아니라, 음악에서 상상력 없이 음악을 감상한다는 것이 불가능하다. 그런 의미에서 상상력에 대한 논의는 음악의 본성을 드러내는 것으로 이해할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to apply the imagination to music as time art, together with the investigation of the meaning of the imagination in the art, based on the philosophical elucidation of the imagination. Through the historical approach of the concept of imagination to achieve this purpose, I will explain the transition process and the nature of the concept of imagination and try to apply it to music through the philosophical approach of the correlation between art and imagination. Imagination plays an important role in the creative activity of art. Creativity in art also begins with imagination, as can be seen from the philosophical approach using Plato, Aristotle, Hobbes, Hume, and Kant s theory of imagination of imagination. In the art activity, music imagination not only plays an important role in music composition performance and appreciation activity, but it is impossible for music to appreciate music without imagination. In that sense it can be understood that a discussion about imagination reveals the true nature of music.
