국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 민주시민교육 연구의 동향을 체계적으로 분석하여 설명하고 그것의 함의를 이끌어내는 것을 목적으로 한다. 학문 탐구의 과정으로서 교육 연구는 교육 현장과 교육 이론의 연결 고리 역할을 한다. 따라서 민주시민교육 연구 동향을 실증적으로 분석하는 것은 지금까지의 민주시민교육의 양상을 객관적으로 확인하는 작업이며, 그 결과는 앞으로 민주시민교육의 지향점을 설정함에 있어 기초적인 자료로 활용될 수 있다. 이를 위해 현시점까지의 민주시민교육 연구물을 대상으로 네트워크 텍스트 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 국내 민주시민교육 논의에서 시대별로 논의 양상과 연구 관심에 차이가 있음을 발견하였다. 특히, 민주시민교육 연구가 점차 실질적인 민주주의 실현에 도움이 되는 내용 요소들이 강한 네트워크를 구축하는 방향으로 연구 관심이 변화하였으며, 인접 교육 영역들을 중심으로 하위 네트워크가 형성되고 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to systematically analyze and explain the trends in the study of ‘democratic civic education’ in Korea and find out its implications. As a process of academic exploration, educational research serves as a link between educational field and educational theory. Therefore, empirically analyzing the research trends of ‘democratic civic education’ is a work that can objectively confirm the aspects of ‘democratic civic education’ so far, and the results can be used as basic data in establishing the direction of ‘democratic civic education’ in the future. For this purpose, network text analysis is conducted on democratic civic education research to the present time. According to the analysis, it finds that there is a difference in the aspect of discussion and interest in research in the era of discussion on democratic citizenship education in Korea. In particular, the subject of the research has gradually changed to establish a strong network of content elements contributing to the realization of practical democracy, and it finds that a sub-network is being formed around adjacent educational areas.
