국문 초록

본고는 인간-되기의 가변성을 인공지능 로봇과 같은 기술적 대상들로서의 비인간과 인간의 사이의 관계에서 설명한다. 이를 위해서 K. 헤일스의 포스트휴머니즘 논의에서 사이버네틱스의 역사적 전개와 F. 바렐라의 신체화 이론 및 자기생성 이론을 비판적으로 독해한다. 또한 바렐라의 자기생성 이론을 다시 들뢰즈와 가타리의 기계주의를 통해 해석한다. 그리고 기계주의로 이해된 자기생성 이론을 토대로 1970년대 로봇과학기술 연구들에서 나타난 ‘인간’ 개념의 변화를 설명한다. 안드로이드와 인공지능의 개발에서 과 등의 비인간 로봇들은 인간적인 것을 재현하고 있지만, 다른 한편으로는 기술적 기계로서의 특성을 적극적으로 드러냄으로써 ‘인간’ 개념을 위협하며 휴머니즘적 불안을 낳는다. 그러나 이러한 비인간 로봇들은 세계의 자기생성적인 구성 안에서 인간과 상호 횡단할 수 있는 잠재성으로서 기능한다.

영문 초록

The Article focuses on the variability of ‘becoming-human’ in the relationship between human and non-human as technical objects such as artificial intelligence robots. For this, it interprets critically the historical layers of cybernetics and the theory of embodiment and autopoiesis of F. Varela in K. Hales posthumanist discourses. It also interprets Varela s theory of autopoiesis again through the machinism of G. Deleuze and F. Guattari. And more based on the theory of autopoiesis understood by machinism, it explains variations of the conception of ‘Human’ in robot science and technology studies in the 1970s. In such developments of android and artificial intelligence, non-human robots such as WABOT and Shakey the Robot represent the human, but on the other hand they threaten the concept of ‘Human’ and stimulate humanistic anxiety by actively revealing their characteristics as technical machines. However, these non-human robots function as virtuality for transaction with humans in the autopoietic composition of their worlds.
