CQR 활용한 ADHD 아동 양육경험

국문 초록

본 연구는 ADHD 아동을 양육하는 어머니들의 경험을 구체적이고 심층적으로 탐색하여 양육경험의 큰 틀을 살펴보고 ADHD 아동관련 중재방안 및 통합적이고 절충적인 방법을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 12명의 ADHD 어머니를 대상으로 반 구조화된 질문지로 2~3회 심층면접을 통해 자료 수집하였다. 자료 분석은 어머니들의 양육과정에서 드러나는 상황들이 다수 또는 소수의 사례임을 짐작할 수 있는 합의적 질적 연구방법(Consensual Qualitative Research : CQR)을 활용하여 영역들과 범주들을 도출하였다. CQR을 통해 ADHD 어머니들의 다양한 경험들을 심도 있게 분석하였으며 합의 과정을 통해 사례들을 종합하여 수치화하여 전체적인 패턴과 특수성을 파악하였다. 그 결과 11개의 영역들과 51개의 범주들이 도출되었다. 11개의 영역들은 ‘ADHD 증상에 대한 무지’, ‘ADHD 진단 마주하기’, ‘ADHD 진단 후 주변 반응’, ‘ADHD 진단 수용’, ‘약물치료에 대한 양가감정’, ‘ADHD 진단 후 양육 감정’, ‘ADHD 적극적 치료 개입’, ‘가족의지지’, ‘사회적지지’, ‘사회적 인식변화’, ‘성숙한 부모’로 나타났다. 이를 통해 ADHD 아동에 대한 조기의 치료 및 개입이 중요하며 ADHD 진단 수용 및 부모교육을 통한 정확한 이해를 바탕으로 적절한 중재가 ADHD 자녀와 어머니의 삶을 긍정적으로 이끌 수 있다는 점을 시사한다. 마지막으로 이를 근거로 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of the essence through the parenting experience of the mother with ADHD children. Also, their parenting experiences were divided into domains and categories. The data was collected through several in-depth interviews with 12 semi-structured questionnaires of the mother with ADHD children. The analysis of the data has adopted a consensus qualitative research method(CQR), also known as CQR, to assume whether the phenomenon of mother’s experience with ADHD children was the majority’s or the minority’s experiences. Through CQR, various experiences of ADHD mothers were deeply analyzed. By consensus processes, the cases weree synthesizes and digitized comprehend overall patterns and distinct characteristics. As a result, 11 domains and 51 categories were derived. The 11 domains were classified as ‘Ignorance of ADHD symptom’, ‘Confronting ADHD diagnosis’, ‘Peripheral reaction after ADHD diagnosis’, ‘Acceptance of ADHD diagnosis’, ‘Ambivalence for medication’, ‘ADHD active treatment intervention’, ‘Family support’, ‘Social support’, ‘Social perception change’, and ‘Mature parent’. This suggests that early treatment and intervention for ADHD child is significant. Also, appropriate intervention is required based on accurate understanding through acceptance of ADHD diagnosis and that parent education can lead to positive life for the mother and the children and with ADHD. Lastly, suggestions for future research are provided based on this research.
