국문 초록

본고의 목적은 인간과 인간성의 조건과 의미가 급격한 변화를 겪고 있는 포스트휴머니즘 시대에 부합하는 노년의 의미를 정립하는데 있어서 키케로와 렘브란트의 노년에 대한 통찰을 통해 진정한 노년의 존재론적 의미를 이해하려는 것이다. 본고에서는 키케로가 자신의 노년론에서 개념화한 노년의 의미와 렘브란트가 자신의 자화상 연작을 통해 재현한노년의 철학적 의미를 함께 분석적으로 검토함으로써 비인간화의 현실화로 특징되는 포스트휴머니즘의 시대에 새로운 존재론적 문제로서의 노년의 문제를 심층적으로 이해할수 있도록 돕고자 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this essay is to understand the ontological significance of aging by way of the collective insight of Cicero and Rembrandt into senility so as to redefine the meaning of aging in the era of post-humanism, when the conditions and meanings of humans and humanity are undergoing dramatic changes. This essay thus provides a critical review of the philosophical significance of aging, which Cicero conceptualizes in his essay on senility and Rembrandt represents in a series of his self-portraits in order to provide a profound understanding of the problems of aging as a new existential problem in the era of post-humanism in which dehumanization substantially becomes a reality.
