준거집단 압력과 제도 생태계를 통한 사회적 가치 창출: 사회적 기업의 지역사회 재투자를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 사회적 기업의 사회적 목적 실현을 위한 주요 수단 중 하나인 지역사회 재투자의 영향 요인을 실증분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2007년 이후 사회적 기업의 양적 확대와 더불어 관련 실증연구 또한 증가하는 추세이나, 사회적 목적을 실현하기 위한 지역사회 재투자에 대해서는 관심이 부족했다. 자원기반관점과 제도주의 조직론에 기반하여 2017년 한국사회적기업흥원에서 운영하는 자율경영공시제도에 참여한 242개 사회적 기업을 대상으로 지역사회 재투자의 영향요인을 실증분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저, 사회적 기업의 경제적 수익이 높아질수록 지역사회 재투자 가능성 또한 높아지지만, 그 효과는 영업활동을 통해 충분한 이익을 얻고 있는 사회적 기업에서 두드러지게 나타난다. 둘째, 인증연도가 같은 사회적 기업이 지역사회 재 투자를 많이 할수록 해당 사회적 기업의 지역사회 재투자 가능성이 높아진다. 셋째, 해당 지역의 사회적 경제 조직장의 활성화는 사회적 기업의 지역사회 재투자 규모에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 이러한 결과는 사회적 기업의 지역사회 재투자라는 의사결정이 조직 내부적 요인과 함께 환경적 차원의 영향력이 복합적으로 작용한 것임을 시사한다. 그에 따라 사회적 기업의 사회적가치 창출을 확대하기 위해서는 경제적 가치와 사회적 가치의 선순환과 더불어 생태계 차원의 제도적 영향력을 함께 고려하여 유인구조를 설계할 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the impact factor sof community reinvestment, which is one of the main means of realizing social purpose of social enterprises. In addition to the quantitative expansion of social enterprises since 2007, relevant empirical studies have also been on the rise, but there has been a lack of interest in community reinvestment to realize social objectives. Based on the resource based view and organizational institutionalism, 242 social enterprises that participated in the voluntary management disclosure system operated by the Korea Social Enterprise Development Institute in 2017 were shown as follows. First, the higher the economic return of a social enterprise, the higher the likeligood of community reinvestment, but the effect is noticeable in social enterprises that are earning sufficient profits through their business activities. Second, the more social enterprises with the same certification year invest in the community, the more likely they are to reinvest in the community. Third, the activation of the local social economic organizers has a positive effect on the scale of community reinvestment by social enterprises. These results suggest that decision of social enterprises to reinvest in the community was a combination of environmental impact, along with internal organizational factors. Accordingly, it is deemed necessary to design a manned structure by considering the virtuous circle of economic and social values as well as the institutional influence at the ecological level in order to expand the social value creation of social enterprises.
