영문 초록

Objectives This report of three cases illustrates the effect of Self Walknig-MSAT and Korean medicine medicine treatment on Herniated Intervertebral Disc(HIVD) of Lumbar spine. Methods Patient is hospitalized about three or four weeks at Department of Neuropsychiatry of Korean Medicine, Jaseng Oriental Medicine Hospital, diagnosed as Herniated Intervertebral Disc(HIVD) of lumbar spine treated by herbal medicine, acupuncture, Self Walknig-Motion Style Acupuncture Treatment(SW-MSAT) daily. This study was measured by Numeric Rating Scale(NRS), Oswestry Disability Index(ODI) and range of motion(ROM). Result After SW-MSAT and Korean medicine medicine treatment, the patient s pain was controlled and NRS score was decreased to about half score. ODI were decresed to about three quarters and ROM also were improved. Conclusions As seen in this one case, SW-MSAT and Korean medicine medicine treatment might have a positive effect to control pain with lumbar HIVD and to decrease NRS to improve ODI and ROM.
