중생 소득작물 후작지 적응 벼 품종 ‘만종’

국문 초록

시설 및 노지에 재배되는 소득작물은 종류가 다양하고 장소와 시장가격 동향에 따라 수확시기가 극히 가변적이다. 따라서 소득작물 후작에 필요한 벼는 늦게 심어도 벼를 안정적으로 수확할 수 있는 단기성 품종이어야 한다. ‘만종’은 ‘영덕34호’와 ‘남평벼’를 각각 모본과 부본으로 인공교배한 후 약배 양으로 품종을 육성하였다. 1. 출수기는 7월 10일에 이앙한 소득작물 후작지 재배에서 8월 30일로 ‘금오벼’보다 1일 정도 늦은 중생종이다. 간장은 ‘금오벼’보다 크고, 수장, 수수 및 수당립수는 ‘금오벼’외 비슷하며, 현미천립중은 약간 가볍고, 백미 완전미율은 높다. 2. 만기재배에서 불시출수 안 되는 편이고, 수발아율은 낮은 편이고, 도복에는 약한 편이다. 내냉성 검정에서 초기 위조 현상은 없었으며, 냉수구 출수지연일수는 ‘금오벼’보다 적은 편이다. 3. 잎도열병은 ‘금오벼’와 비슷한 중정도 저항성이며, 흰잎 마름병에는 약하다. 바이러스병인 줄무늬잎마름병에 강하고, 주요 해충인 벼멸구와 애멸구에는 약하다. 4. 수량성은 2007년부터 2009년까지 3개년간 실시한 지역 적응시험의 소득작물 후작 만기재배에서 4.81 MT/ha으로 ‘금오벼’보다 4% 증수하였으며, 적응지역은 영호남 평야지 소득작물 재배 후 벼 재배에 적합한 품종이다.

영문 초록

‘Manjong’ is a new japonica rice cultivar developed in 2009 derived from a cross between ‘Yeongdeog34’ and ‘Nampyeongbyeo’ at the Department of Functional Crop, NICS, RDA. This cultivar is suitable for the double cropping system after the cash crop cultivation. Heading date of ‘Manjong’ is later than ‘Keumobyeo’ under the late transplanting cultivation on July 10. It has high grain fertility under cold conditions and low premature heading. One of the distinguishing characteristics of this variety is its resistance to major diseases like leaf blast and rice stripe virus disease. However, it shows susceptibility to major insect pests and bacterial blight disease. Milled rice kernels are translucent with non-glutinous endosperm and have 7.2% protein and 18.7% amylose contents. Ripening ratio and head rice ratio is very higher than those of ‘Keumobyeo’. The palatability of cooked rice is also better than ‘Keumobyeo’. The milled rice yield of ‘Manjong’ in local adaptability tests after harvest of the cash crop is 4.81 MT ha . This cultivar is suitable for planting in the plain paddy fields of Honam and Yeonnam regions in Korea.
