무주지역 소유역내 지표수와 지하수의 안정동위원소 조성의 시공간적 변화

국문 초록

이 연구는 무주군 적상산 부근에 위치하는 소유역 (100 ㎢)에서 지표수와 천부 지하수의 안정동위원소 조성의 시 공간적 변화를 조사하기 위해서 실시되었다. 시료채취는 2001년 8월(여름)과 10월(가을), 2002년 4월(봄), 3회에 걸쳐 실시되었다. 지표수의 동위원소 조성은 계절에 따라 뚜렷이 구분되어 도시되지만 천부 지하수에서는 이러한 변화가 줄어든 것이 관찰되었다. 하지만 지표수와 지하수의 안정동위원소 조성의 변화 폭은 계절별로 서로 유사하게 나타나고있다. 이것은 이지역 서강수, 지표수 및 지하수 사이의 상호작용이 매우 활발하며 지속적으로 일어나고 있음을 의미한다. 무주지역 지표수의 안정동위원소 조성은 남쪽에 위치하는 섬진강의 조성보다는 가벼운 위도변화 를 나타내고 있다. 또한 하천수에는 동위원소 조성의 계절변화와 아울러 강수의 고도효과 와 우량변화 가 잘 반영되어 있음이 관찰되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the temporal and spatial variation of stable isotopic compositions of sur-face waters and shallow ground waters at a local watershed(100 ㎢) near the Muju area. For oxygen and hydro-gen isotope analysis, water samples were collected from 19-22 sites during August, October 2001, through April 2002. Seasonal variation in the isotopic compositions of surface waters was clearly shown. However, the degree of such isotopic variation was highly attenuated in shallow ground waters because of mixing with preexisting ground waters. Isotope values of surface waters and ground waters were very similar in each season, indicating that precipi-tation/ground water/surface water interactions were very active and continuous in the watershed. Stable isotopic ratios of surface waters in the study area were lighter than those of the downstream reach of Geum River on south, indicating latitude effect . Both altitude effect and amount effect were also shown in the stable isotopic ratios of surface waters in the study area as well as seasonal variation of stable isotopes.
