영문 초록

Incorporating literature review and interview, the purpose of this study was to introduce the GATE cluster program in the San Diego school district in the State of California, USA. First, the background of the GATE cluster program, development of GATE policy in California State, and the current state of GATE in the San Diego school district were described. Second, the practice of the GATE cluster program was introduced in terms of identification procedure and major teaching strategies. Also, four types of cluster models were analyzed. Finally, implications for gifted education in Korea were addressed.
