영문 초록

This is a case report of a large compound-complex odontoma occurred in the anterior region of the mandible. Probably, odontomas are the most common of the odontogenic tumors, and have been defined as a tumor composed of dentin and enamel in which pulp and cementum also are present. The patient. 10-year-old female, was admitted to dept. of oral and maxillofacial surgery, Kyung Hee University Medical Center with the chief complaints of the abnormal bony swelling on the chin area and prolonged retention of the lower anterior deciduous teeth. We diagnosed as compound-complex odontoma through clinical and radiographic features. and then performed surgical enucleation of tumor including removal of involved teeth, and packed nitrofurazen gauze. Through surgical procedures and biopsy, it was confirmed that this tumor was a combination type of complex and compound odontoma. The patient did well postoperatively and has shown no sign of recurrence during the 3 month postoperative period.
