인성교육을 위한 대안적 접근방법으로서 자아초월심리학의 활용 가능성 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구는 정의윤리에 기반을 둔 정의공동체, 배려윤리에 기반을 둔 배려공동체, 다차원적 사고에 기반을 둔 철학적 탐구공동체의 장점과 한계점을 분석하고, 이 한계점들을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 학교 공동체를 형성할 수 있는 대안적 접근방법으로서 자아초월심리학이 활용될 수 있는지를 이론적으로 탐색하는 데 연구의 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 첫째, Kohlberg의 정의윤리에 이론적 토대를 둔 정의공동체와 Noddings의 배려윤리에 이론적 토대를 둔 배려공동체의 인성교육에 있어서의 장점과 한계점을 분석하였다. 둘째, 실제로 도덕적 상황은 배려와 정의간의 조화를 필요로 한다는 것을 논증하고, 그러나 기존의 통합적 접근방법인 Lickona식의 단순 결합방법과 Lipman의 철학적 탐구공동체 접근법은 정의와 배려의 통합에 한계가 있고 개인의 내면성과 고차원적 정신성 함양에는 어려움이 있음을 지적하였다. 셋째, 지금까지의 인성교육 접근방법들이 지닌 한계점을 보완할 수 있는 대안적 접근법으로서 자아초월심리학이 주장하는 의식발달과정에 이론적 토대를 두고 자아초월지향 공동체를 형성해야 함을 주장하였다. 그리고 자아초월심리학에 토대를 둔 자아초월지향 공동체의 형성과 교육활동은 개인적 차원과 대인관계에서의 의식발달뿐 아니라 자연환경과 세계, 영적 존재에까지 의식발달을 확장시킬 수 있고, 정의윤리와 배려윤리의 창조적ㆍ승법적ㆍ발전적 통합을 지원할 수 있으며, 비판적 토론과 형식적 대화, 일상적 대화와 이야기의 활용, 교사의 모범 등의 인성교육의 방법적 측면을 모두 포함하면서도 더 다양하고 구체적인 인성교육의 방법을 활용할 수 있음을 살펴보았다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to theoretical argue that consciousness development process of transpersonal psychology can use as new approach in humanism education in school. In order to achieve the object of this study, first, I claim that has limitation as well as has strengths that justice community based on Kohlberg's ethics of justice and care community based on Noddings's ethics of care in humanism education in school. Ethics of justice has a merit in developing intellectual aspects of morality such as moral judgment while neglecting the affective or acting aspects. Ethics of care, on other hand, has a merit in developing affective or acting aspects whereas it has weakness in developing the ability of fair judgment in moral situations. Second, thereby characterize ethics of justice and care respectively and explicate the limits of each ethics, then I assert to explore ways to integrate the two ethics for humanism education in school. Lickona's additive combination approach has limitation as appropriate approaches to integrative moral education. And Lipman's community of philosophical inquiry can't develop individual immanent and high dimensional spirituality. Third, I assert that consciousness development process of transpersonal psychology can use as new approach in humanism education in school. Humanism educational activities through transpersonal community based on transpersonal psychology can that individual consciousness expand till immanent, relational expansion, nature and whole world, spirituality. And it can support creative integration of ethics of justice and ethics of care in humanism education. Also, it can provide humanism education's method containing critical discussion and formal conversation, story use and ordinary conversation, contemplation and immortal conversation, teacher as a model.
