국문 초록

이 연구는 외동이 사회적 능력 증진을 위한 부모 프로그램을 개발하여 그 효과를 밝히는 데 주목적을 두고 수행되었다. 연구에 참여한 연구대상은 만3세는 총 6명으로 외동이 3명, 외동이가 아닌 유아 3명이며, 만4세와 만5세는 총 24명으로 각각 외동이 6명 외동이가 아닌 유아 6명으로 전체 유아 30명과 유아의 부모들이었다. 따라서 외동이 15명은 실험집단, 외동이가 아닌 유아 15명은 비교집단에 배정되었다. 유아의 사회적 능력 검사를 위해서는 윤혜숙(2001)이 사용한 ‘유아의 사회적 능력 검사’를 사전검사와 사후검사로 나누어 실시하였으며, 담임교사가 평가하였다. 각 가정에서 부모가 유아와 함께 3주간에 16회기의 활동을 진행하며, 마지막 활동이 끝난 후 프로그램에 대한 간단한 질문지를 작성하여 원에 제출하게 하였다. 외동 여부와 검사 유형에 따른 유아의 사회적 능력 차이를 알아본 결과, 외동 여부의주 효과는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났지만, 사전검사와 사후검사의 주 효과는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 프로그램에 참여한 유아의 외동 여부와는 관계없이 프로그램의 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 연령과 성별에 있어서도 사전검사와 사후검사의 주 효과는 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 프로그램에 대한 부모들의 평가에 있어서는 아이의 행동 변화와 부모들에게 있어 새로운 교육경험의 기회와 양육환경에 대한 반성적 태도를 갖게 한 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of parent program for only child’s social enhancement and parent's assessment on the parent program. For this study, 30 children in 6 class in Gangneung and Donghae and parents of children were assigned to only child group and non-only child group and divided into experimental and comparable group. The 6 3-year old children of experimental(n=3) and comparable group(n=3), 12 4-year old children of experimental(n=6) and comparable group(n=6) and 12 5-year old children of experimental(n=6) and comparable group(n=6). The Social Competency Rating Scale was used for young children's social competency. The social enhancement program conducted for a 3-weeks period was developed on the bases of studies of young children's social competence. The 16 activities of the program were constituted game, conversation, expression, and other activities. To find out what difference exists between groups, repeated measurement two-way ANOVA was used. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Two Group’s social competency was not significantly statistical different, but a pretest-posttest was significantly different. 2. There were no differential effects of the program according to sex and age. But a pretest -posttest was significantly statistical different. 3. Parent’s assessment on the parent program was positive on children and parents. This result may have the influence on finding out desirable methods for operating only child’s education.
