그림책 창작활동에 나타난 탈북가정 아동의 미적 경험

국문 초록

예술교육은 일반 아동뿐만 아니라 취약계층의 아동과 다문화 가정 아동에게도 긍정적인 효 과를 보인다. 따라서 탈북가정 아동에게도 예술교육은 여러 측면에서 긍정적 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 그림책은 글과 그림의 상호작용을 통해 의미생성을 하는 예술 장르이므로 그림책 창작활 동 역시 예술교육의 일환으로서 활용된다. 본 연구에서는 그림책 창작활동에 참여한 탈북가정 아동 6명의 미적 경험 양상을 살펴봤다. 아동의 사례를 통해 공통된 요소를 기반으로 1차 코드 62개를 추출하고, 관련 의미들을 다시 연결하여 2차 코드 18개를 추출했다. 이를 기반으로 7개 의 미적 경험 관련 주제어, 즉‘다양한 구성의 경험과 주체적 태도’,‘감각적 즐거움의 경 험’,‘다양한 통로로서의 표상형식 경험’,‘상상을 통해 안전하게 감정 및 욕구 해소하 기’,‘만족과 고통의 양가적 감정 경험’,‘낯설고 새로운 세계와의 만남’,‘긍정적인 소통 의 경험’을 추출했다. 주제어를 중심으로 살펴본 탈북가정 아동들의 경험은 일반적인 한국 아 동들이 그림책 창작활동에서 경험한 내용과 유사했다. 본 연구의 결론은 첫째, 그림책 창작활 동을 통해 아동이 성장함을 볼 수 있었다. 둘째, 글과 그림, 판형 등의 다양한 표상형식을 지닌 그림책을 만드는 활동은 글과 그림 언어에 능숙하지 못한 아동들도 새로운 방식으로 창작할 수 있게 한다. 셋째, 아동에게 여러 경험의 통로가 되고 미적 경험을 체험할 수 있다는 점에서 그 림책 창작활동은 예술교육 면에서 가치 있는 활동이다.

영문 초록

Art education showed several positive effects for children in vulnerable groups, and also helped children in multicultural families. So, It will have a positive impact in many aspects even for children in North Korean defector families. Picturebooks are an art genre that creates meaning through the interaction of text and pictures. Therefore, picturebook making will also have a positive impact on children as part of art education. This study examined the aesthetic experiences of six children in North Korean defector families who participated in picturebook making class. Through the case study method, the aesthetic experience aspect was analyzed through the cases of six children in North Korean defector families who experienced this activity. First of all, each case was described in an explanatory way. In addition, 62 primary codes were extracted based on common elements through the case of children, and 18 secondary codes were extracted by reconnecting related meanings. Finally, 7 keywords related to aesthetic experience were extracted. It is founded the experiences of children from North Korean defector families were similar to those of general South Korean children. The conclusion of this study is, first, that children can grow through picturebook making. Second, making picture books with various representational forms enables children who are not proficient in writing and picture language to create in a new way. Third, picturebook making is a valuable activity in terms of art education in that it becomes a passage of various experiences for children and allows them to have aesthetic experiences.
