예비부부의 자기인식, 배우자인식 그리고 가족관계 탐색에 나타난 상징체계분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 인형진단평가를 활용하여 관계갈등을 겪고 있는 예비부부의 자기인식, 배우자인식, 가족관계 인식을 사례연구로 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 결혼 전 예비부부 한 쌍으로 인형진단평가 매뉴얼을 일부 수정·보완하여 자기인식, 배우자인식, 가족관계 차원을 분석하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째. 자기인식에서 남성은 강함, 약함, 의존의 상징체계, 여성은 방어/의존, 긍정적 소망, 강함과 약함으로 도출되었다. 이 영역에서 예비부부 커플은 인형을 통해 무의식적이고 심층적인 특성을 객관화함으로써 자신과 상대방을 선명하게 이해하였다. 둘째, 배우자인식에서 남성은 공격적이고 사회성이 부족한 배우자를 최악의 배우자로, 그리고 따뜻하게 품어주는 모성적인 배우자를 최고의 배우자로 인식하였다. 여성은 자기애적이고 공격적인 성향의 배우자를 최악의 배우자로, 그리고 통솔력과 가족에 대한 책임이 강한 성향의 배우자를 최고의 배우자로 인식하였다. 예비부부 커플은 인형상징을 통해 상대방에 대한 자신의 감정과 생각, 기대와 욕구가 선명하게 드러나면서 둘 간의 갈등관계 상황을 통찰하였다. 셋째, 가족관계 인식은 역기능적 가족체계에 속하는 자녀 고립형, 이산형으로, 그리고 가족 내 상호작용은 부정적이고 소원한 관계로 나타났다. 가족관계 탐색을 통해 예비부부 커플은 어린시절의 상처를 이해하고, 그 상처가 두 사람의 관계에 지속적으로 영향을 미친다는 것을 인식하였다. 이로써 본 연구는 관계갈등을 겪고 있는 예비부부 커플이 인형심리평가를 통해 자신과 상대방, 그리고 서로에 대하여 심층적인 이해와 통찰을 하는데 도움이 될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 향후 인형치료적 접근이 예비부부 커플상담의 치료프로그램 개발에 도움이 될 것이라는 시사점을 도출할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the aspects of self-awareness, spouse-awareness, and family relationship awareness of a prospective couple experiencing relationship conflicts using the Figures diagnostic evaluation as a case study. As a result of the analysis, first, in self-awareness, the male partner was depicted as strong, weak, and dependent symbol, and female partner as defensive/dependent, positive hope, strong and weak symbols. In this area, the prospective couple clearly understood themselves and their partner by objectifying their unconscious and in-depth characteristics using figures. Next, in the spouse awareness component, male partner identified an aggressive and unsociable spouse as the worst spouse and a maternal spouse who embraces him warmly as the best spouse. Female partner identified a narcissistic and aggressive spouse as the worst spouse, and a spouse with strong leadership and family responsibility as the best spouse. The prospective couple gained insight into the conflicts between then within their relationship by clearly revealing their feelings, thoughts, expectations and desires for the other one with the figures. Finally, family relationship recognition was shown to be the child isolation and discrete type, which belonging to the dysfunctional family system, and family interaction showed negative and estranged relationships. Through the exploration of family relationship, the prospective couple understood their childhood trauma and recognized that the trauma continuously affects their relationship. Through this case study, we were able to help a prospective couple experiencing relationship conflicts gain an in-depth understanding about themselves and each other. In addition, we were able to show the figures therapy may be used to further develop treatment programs for prospective couples.
