국제비교를 통한 2015, 2022 개정교육과정 총론의 특징 및 향후 과제 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 우리나라에서 최근 개정한 2022 개정 교육과정과 현행 교육과정인 2015 개정 교육과정을 국제비교하여 두드러지는 특징을 분석하고 향후의 과제를 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 우리나라와 같이 국가 수준에서 교육과정 문서를 제시하고 있는 6개국(영국, 뉴질랜드, 호주, 싱가포르, 일본, 홍콩)을 대상으로 교육과정의 중점사항, 학교급별 교육과정, 비교과 교육과정을 비교하였다. 연구 결과, 우리나라와 다른 국가에서는 공통적으로 공동체 의식, 교과의 심층적 이해, 미래 대비, 맞춤형 교육과정을 강조하였으며, 동일한 교과가 많은 공통점이 있었다. 차이점의 경우, 아시아 국가를 비롯한 우리나라의 경우, 국가에서 규정하는 사항이 많았으며, 모든 학생들에게 공통으로 적용되는 교육과정의 비중이 높았다. 다른 국가의 경우, 각국가의 사회·문화적 특징과 강조점에 따라 다른 교과를 제공하기도 하였으며, 학교에 많은 자율성을 부여하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 향후 우리나라에서도 새 교육과정에서 변화를 보인 교과목과 자율성에 대해 검토하고, 기존의 2015 개정 교육과정에 대한 관심과 지원도 지속해야 할 것이다. 국가뿐만 아니라 교육청과 교사의 노력도 함께 이루어질 때 현행 교육과정과 새로운 교육과정이 잘 안착될 수 있을 것으로 전망한다

영문 초록

This research adopted international comparative education research to analyze the characteristics of the 2022 Revised National Curriculum and the present 2015 Revised National Curriculum, and to explore their future tasks. For this, this paper compared the Korean national curriculum with those of the six countries (UK, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong) in light of curricular points and goals, school curriculum, and non-subject curriculum. The results find that similar to Korea, other countries also underscore community spirit, deep understanding of subjects, preparation for the future, and tailored curriculum. In addition, there are same subjects among the countries as well. Unlike in the other countries, however, the Korean government stipulates many common rules for students, and the percentage of common curriculum is higher. Other countries provide different subjects based on their social and cultural characteristics and points, and give more autonomy to schools. Based on the results, the Korean government should consider recategorizing the subjects and giving more autonomy to schools. In addition, when efforts from both the regional office of education and teachers are exerted, the present and future Korean curriculum will function well
