국문 초록

본 연구는 중년부부의 해결중심사고가 문제해결능력을 매개로 결혼만족도에 미치는 자기효과와 상대방효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 40-59세 중년부부 대상의 온라인 설문으로 수집된 자료를(N=336쌍) 기술통계 및 APIMeM을 적용해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 아내의 해결중심사고가 아내의 문제해결능력을 매개로 남편과 아내의 결혼만족도에 영향을 미치는 매개경로가 유의하게 나타났다. 둘째, 남편과 아내의 해결중심사고는 상대방의 문제해결능력에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 아내의 문제해결능력과 해결중심사고는 남편의 결혼만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 문제해결능력과 결혼만족도에 대한 해결중심사고의 자기효과는 남편과 아내 모두 유의하였으나, 결혼만족도에 대한 문제해결능력의 자기효과는 아내에게서만 유의하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 해결중심사고가 문제해결능력을 매개로 중년부부의 결혼만족도를 증진하는 데에 유용한 방안이 될 수 있다는 점을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the actor and partner effects of solution-focused thinking on marital satisfaction through problem-solving ability among middle-aged married couples. Methods: Data were collected through an online survey of middle-aged couples aged 40-59 years (N=336 pairs) and were analyzed with descriptive statistics and APIMeM. Results: Results showed significant mediating effects of the wife’s solution-focused thinking on the husband’s and wife’s marital satisfaction through the wife’s problem-solving ability. Second, the partner effects of solution-focused thinking on problem-solving ability were significant for both husband and wife. The wife’s problem-solving ability and solution-focused thinking on the husband’s marital satisfaction were significant. Third, the actor effects of solution-focused thinking on problem-solving ability and marital satisfaction were significant for both husband and wife. In contrast, the actor effect of problem-solving ability on marital satisfaction was significant only for wives in the sample. Conclusions: These results suggest that solution-focused thinking can help enhance marital satisfaction through problem-solving ability among middle-aged married couples.
