국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어린이미디어학회의 역사를 사회 및 교육의 변화와 미디어를 중심으로 문헌 고찰함으로써 향후 어린이미디어와 교육의 발전을 위한 역할과 방향성을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 결과 한국어린이미디어학회는 지난 20년간 다양한 미디어에 대한 탐구를 토대로 그 시대의 트렌드 미디어(Trend Media)를 선정하여 학문적, 실천적 논의의 장을 적절하게 잘 마련해오고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 학회의 발전을 위한 방향을 제안하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아와 미디어, 미디어와 교육의 관계에 대한 미래 연구(Future Studies) 및 네트워크 형성(Networking)의 장(場)이 되어야 할 것이다. 둘째, 유아들이 경험하는 다양한 미디어의 적정 구현을 위한 유아교육기관 내 시스템(체제) 구축연구 및 기존의 아날로그 환경에 기반한 놀이 연구 프레임에서 모바일 환경에 기반한 놀이 연구 프레임으로 연구의 영역을 확장할 필요가 있다. 마지막으로 디지털 미디어 리터러시에 관한 연구를 학회 차원에서 주도하여 한국 유아의 디지털 미디어 리터러시 역량이 무엇인지를 규명하고, 이에 적합한 디지털 미디어 매체에 대한 인증기준을 확립해 나가는 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to suggest the role and direction for the development of children’s media and education in the future by examining the history of the Korean Children’s Media Association with a focus on social and educational changes and media education. As a result of the study, the Korean Association for Children’s Media and Education has properly provided a place for academic and practical discussion while reflecting Trend Media of the era based on the exploration of various media over the past 20 years. In this regard, the directions for the development of this Association are suggested as follows: First, it should be a place for future studies and networking regarding the relationship between children and media as well as media and education. Second, it is necessary to establish a system in early childhood education institutions for the proper implementation of various media experienced by young children and to expand the field of research from the existing analog environment-based play research frame to the mobile environment-based play research frame. Lastly, it is necessary to lead the research on digital media literacy at an academic level to identify the digital media literacy competency of korean children and to establish an appropriate certification standard for digital media.
