농촌지도사업 명칭의 이미지 및 적합성 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 농촌지도사업의 명칭에 대한 이미지와 적합성에 대해 실증적인 분석을 실시하여 농촌지도사업의 개념과 명칭을 재정립하는데 기초자료를 얻는데 연구의 목적이 있었다. 자료 수집은 농촌지도사업과 관련이 있는 농촌지도직, 농업행정직, 농업연구직, 농업인, 소비자 655명을 대상으로 웹 설문지(web questionnaire)를 통해 수집되었으며, 자료 분석은 SPSSWIN 12.0을 통해 빈도, 백분율, 카이자승기법이 적용되었다. 본 연구를 통해 산출된 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 현재 사용되고 있는 농촌지도사업이라는 명칭과 관련된 이미지, 즉 시간적 이미지, 기능적 이미지, 확산적 이미지, 감각적 이미지, 부정적 이미지 등 5가지 요소에 대해 기능적 이미지의 경우만을 제외하고 모두 부정적인 이미지를 가지고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 명칭은 매력성 이미지, 신뢰성 미이지, 부드러운 이미지, 희망적 이미지, 우호적 이미지, 감동적 이미지 등에 대해 모든 부정적인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 셋째, 농촌지도사업이란 명칭의 적합성은 농촌지도사업을 책임지고 있는 행정 당국(농촌진흥청, 농업기술원, 농업기술센터)이 지향하고 있는 비전 및 목적과의 적합성에 대해서는 부정적인 반응을 보였으며, 이들 기관의 행정조직 및 체계와의 적합성은 기능과 역할에 대한 표현성에 대해서는 미온적인 반응을 보이고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 현재 농촌지도사업이라는 명칭이 국가의 농업·농촌 정책이 추진되고 있는 사업의 목적, 내용, 방법과 시기적으로 부적절하고 잘 어울리지 않을 뿐만 아니라 미래의 농촌지도사업이 주고객을 농업인 뿐만 아니라 소비자로 확대되고 있는 추세와 농촌의 다원적 기능을 강조하는 사업에 대한 요구가 점차 확대될 것으로 예상되는 상황에서 현재 사용되고 있는 농촌지도사업이라는 명칭이 한계성이 있다고 결론지을 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyzed empirically the fitness and images of the term on rural extension work in oder to draw the some implications and the informations for newly defining the rural extension work in Korea. The data were collected through web questionnaires from 655 respondents who are the selected peoples related rural extension work in Korea. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 12.0 windows, and the statistical techniques used for this study were frequency, percentages, mean, standard deviation, chi-square. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, the term of korean rural extension work had been negative images in the time image, the extended image, the sensitive image, and negative image. Second, the term had been negative images in the attraction, the credibility, the friendly image, the hoping image, and the impressive image. Third, the term were not fit along with the vision and the mission of the rural development administration(RDA) in the government level, of the agricultural technology institute in the province level, and of the agricultural technology center in county level. Fourth, it was founded that the term of korean rural extension work had a little fitness on the expression for the function of the administration. Fifth, the term were not fit along with new paradigms in the trends of agricultural knowledge and information contexture. On the basis of the above findings, the some implications were drawn. It is time to consider seriously the modification of term on extension work through the policy decision. In the process of modifying the term, the rural development administration should carry out analyze the restriction of the term, and confirm the available fitness along with future paradigm of extension work in Korea.
