유기불안, 미성숙한 방어기제, 그리고 경계선적 성격특성의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 유기불안, 미성숙한 방어기제, 그리고 경계선적 성격특성의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대학생 227명을 대상으로 유기불안척도(AAS), 한국판 방어유형질문지(K-DSQ), 한국판 성격장애진단검사를 포함한 설문을 실시하였으며, SPSS 18.0으로 상관분석과 단순회귀분석, 그리고 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 유기불안, 미성숙한 방어기제, 그리고 경계선적 성격특성은 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 유기불안과 미성숙한 방어기제는 경계선적 성격특성을 유의하게 설명하는 변수임이 확인되었다. 구체적으로 유기불안의 하위요인 중 유기감과 거절/거부하기가 경계선적 성격특성에 대한 설명력이 있었으며, 미성숙한 방어기제의 하위요인 중에서는 행동화, 투사, 그리고 분열이 경계선적 성격특성에 대해 설명력이 있는 변인으로 나타났다. 그러나 유기불안의 하위요인 중 의존/매달리기와 미성숙한 방어기제의 하위요인 중 공상, 수동-공격, 그리고 소비는 경계선적 성격특성에 대한 설명력이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 유기불안의 하위요인 중 유기감과 거절/거부하기, 그리고 미성숙한 방어기제의 하위요인 중 행동화, 투사, 그리고 분열이 경계선적 성격특성을 설명하는 주요변인임을 보여준다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점, 및 후속연구의 필요성이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify a correlation between abandonment anxiety, immature defense mechanisms, and borderline personality traits. 227 college students participated in a questionnaire consisting of the: Abandonment Anxiety Scale (AAS), Korean Version of Defense Style Questionnaire (K-DSQ), and the Korean Personality Disorders Test. SPSS 18.0 was used for implementing a correlation, simple regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results showed that abandonment anxiety and immature defense mechanisms have a statistically significant positive relationship with borderline personality traits. In addition, emotions of abandonment, distance/denial and dependency/excitement, the sub factors of abandonment anxiety and acting-out and splitting, as well as the sub factors of immature defense mechanisms are factors that explain borderline personality traits. These findings show that abandonment anxiety and immature defense mechanisms serve as major variables in predicting borderline personality traits. Implications and limitations of these results and suggestions for future research are discussed.
