공업기술교육계열 대학생들의 취업준비도 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 공업기술교육계열 대학생들의 취업준비도에 대한 실태조사와 학과 차원에서의 요구를 분석함으로써 공업기술교육계열 관련 교육 전문가들에게 이들의 취업 준비행동에 관한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학년에 따른 취업준비도는 3학년, 4학년, 2학년, 1학년의 순으로 나타났으며, 4개 척도 모두에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학과에 따른 취업준비도는 진로발달 척도에서 차이(B학과＜H학과)가 나타났고, 진로탐색행동 척도에서도 차이(B학과＜A, D학과)가 나타났다. 셋째, 전공에 따른 취업준비도는 진로발달 척도에서 동일 전공끼리 모아놓은 그룹 인 A, H, I 전공과 C, F 전공이 B, G 전공보다 낮게 나타났다. 또한 진로탐색행동 척도에서 D 전공이 E 전공보다 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 졸업 후 진로가 ‘교사’ 여부에 따른 취업준비도는 진로의사결정 척도에서 졸업 후 진로가 ‘교사’라고 응답한 학생들이 졸업 후 진로를 ‘교사 외 타 직종’으로 응답한 학생들에 비해 높게 나타났다. 다섯째, 졸업 후 진로에 대한 응답 결과 1순위에서 ‘교사’ 83.0%, ‘대기업’ 5.2%, ‘공무원’ 3.5%, ‘대학원 진학’ 3.5%, ‘기타’ 2.4%, 등의 순으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 공업기술교육계열 대학생들의 취업을 위한 교육 요구 응답 결과, 1순위에서는 전체 응답자수의 49.8%가 ‘임용, 취직시험 대비 정보제공’, 12.4%가 ‘임용, 취직 시험 대비 특강 개설’, 9.2%가 ‘실용적인 수업과 교과로 개편’ 순으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide the industrial and technology education experts with fundamental information about preparedness for the employment of the students majoring in industrial education and technology education by investigating the actual condition of the students’ readiness for employment and by analyzing the students’needs. First, employment readiness according to grades differs in the order of the students’grades; 3rd grade students are the highest among all followed by 4th, 2nd and 1st grades and these differences between the grades turn out to be meaningful. Second, employment readiness according to the department is observed that the score of department B is lower than department H at the part of Career Development and the score of department B is lower than department A and D at the part of Career Exploration Behavior. Third, employment readiness according to major is observed that the scores of the groups of A, H, I and C, F (A, H, and I are the same major and also C and F are), are lower than the group of B, G at the part of Career Development. And, the score of major D is higher than major E at the part of Career Exploration Behavior. Forth, students who decide to be a teacher after graduation get higher score in career decision than students who decide to find ‘other jobs not teachers’. Fifth, the result of responses about the careers after graduation is as follows; ‘Teacher(83.0%)’ placed first, ‘Achievement job at the large company(5.2%)’ came second, followed by ‘Public official(3.5%)’, ‘Entering graduate school(3.5%)’, ‘etc(2.4%)’, ‘Achievement job at the middle & Small company(1.2%)’ and ‘Foundation(1.2%)’. Sixth, the result of students’ requirements for career education is as follows; first providing information about the National Teachers Exam (49.8%), second, offering special lectures for the examination (12.4%) and third changing old curriculum into practical lectures and subjects (9.2%).
