영문 초록

This thesis deals with improvement of the Civil Code in case the household system is abolished. The main ideas of this paper are as follows; 1. A Child shall assume its father's surname and the origin of surname. However in case that parents have entered into an agreement, a child may assume its mother's surname and the origin of surname. 2. An adopted child assumes the surname of the parents by adoption. An adopted child resumes, by reason of dissolution of the adoptive relation, the surname assumed thereby before the adoption. However, if it is required for the welfare of child, an adopted child, may assume the surname assumed at the time of the dissolution of adoptive relation upon the approval of Family Court.
