국문 초록

본 연구는 사라져가는 지역의 문화를 춤으로 기록하는 과정을 고찰하고 그 의미를 탐색하는 것이다. 또한 결과보다 과정에 집중하여 지역문화콘텐츠 연구의 한 방향을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. ‘춤을 위한 기록 <호모나랜스_홍산 모시 이야기>’는 충남문화재단에서 실시하는 충남 무용 예술지원의 개인 분야에 선정된 프로젝트이다. 본 프로젝트는 기록과정에서 발견된 콘텐츠를 작품에 녹여내어 기존의 예술작업과는 차별성이 있다. 사라질 위기에 있는 홍산 모시를 기록하기 위해 홍산문화보존회 최병헌 회장, 홍산보부상보존회 진수범 회장, 홍산 모시 직조 명인 임양순과 조온숙 총 4인의 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 인터뷰를 진행하면서 홍산문화보존회 최병헌 회장은 잊혀져 가는 홍산의 문화를 보존 발전시키기 위해 예전의 홍산 모습을 노래로 만들어 고향의 문화를 지켜내려 노력하고 있다는 것을 알게 되었다. 이러한 홍산 지역민의 홍산 모시 이야기를 기반으로 ‘Dance Film <기억 2nd Story>’가 제작되었다. 작품의 내용은 모시를 하며 홀로 자식을 키워낸 임양순 명인님의 삶을 상징적으로 표현하였다. 그리고 홍산문화보존회 최병헌 회장의 《홍산 모시 타령》이 음원으로 사용되었고 인터뷰에 참여한 직조 명인이 짠 모시에 천연 쪽 염색을 들인 원단을 활용하여 의상을 제작하였다. 문화를 예술에 반영하는 작업은 그 문화를 경험하고 자란 지역민들과 함께 만들어진다는 것을 본 프로젝트를 통해 확인하였다. 즉, 콘텐츠화 작업은 예술가 혼자만의 작업이 아닌 함께 협업해야 가능한 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 예술을 활용한 지역 문화연구의 방향성 제시에 큰 역할을 할 것이라 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study examines the process of recording disappearing local culture in the form of dance and explores its meaning. The main purpose is to present a research direction for local culture contents by focusing on the process rather than the results. ‘Record for Dance ’ is a project selected for the individual field of Chungnam Dance and Arts Support conducted by the Chungnam Cultural Foundation. This project differs from existing art work by reflecting the content found in the recording process into the work. In order to record Hongsan Mosi, which is in danger of disappearing, four interviews were conducted with Choi Byung-hun, chair of the Hongsan Cultural P reservation Society, Jin Soo-beom, chair of Hongsan Peddler Preservation Society, and two weaving masters, Lim Yang-soon and Cho Onsook. During the interviews, it was found that Choi Byung-hun, chair of the Hongsan Cultural Preservation Society was trying to protect his hometown's culture by making songs of the old Hongsan’s image to preserve and develop the forgotten Hongsan culture. ‘Dance Film ’ was produced based on the Hongsan Mosi story of the local Hongsan people. The content of the dance film symbolically expresses the life of Lim Yang-soon, a master who raised his children alone while weaving a Mosi. In addition, 《Hongsan Mosi Taryeong》 by C hoi Byung-hun was u sed a s a sound source, and costumes made of naturally dyed Mosi, which were woven by a weaving master who participated in the interview, were utilized. The work of reflecting culture in art is conducted with local people who have experienced and grown up with the local culture, and from this point of view, contentization work is only possible when artists work together, not alone. With this perspective, this study is expected to play a major role in presenting the direction of local cultural research utilizing art.
