물류 아웃소싱 동기요인이 포워더 유형 선정에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

국문 초록

세계 경제의 경계가 없어지고 글로벌 무역과 경영활동이 활성화되면서 화주기업들은 제3자물류업체를 활용한 물류 아웃소싱전략을 추진하는 경향이 높아지고 있다. 최근 글로벌 공급망 차질과 급격한 해운시장 변화와 같은 예측불허의 환경 속에서 물류 아웃소싱을 주선하는 포워더의 역할이 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 국내에는 다양한 유형의 포워더가 존재하고 있으며 화주기업들의 다양한 동기에 의해 물류 아웃소싱업체를 선정하게 된다. 본 연구의 목적은 기업의 물류 아웃소싱 동기요인에 따른 어떤 유형의 포워더를 선정하게 되는지를 설문을 통해 분석하여 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 분석방법은 로지스틱 회귀분석을 활용하였으며, 분석결과 물류 아웃소싱 동기의 중요도는 운임인하, 서비스 개선, 핵심사업 집중 그리고 물류역량 부족의 순으로 나타났다. 아웃소싱 동기로 운임인하를 추구하는 화주는 국내기업, 중소업체, 종합물류기업을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 핵심사업의 집중을 위해 아웃소싱을 추진하는 업체는 국내기업, 대기업, 전문물류기업에 대한 선호도가 높았다. 물류역량 부족 동기요인을 가지는 화주는 외국계기업, 대기업, 종합물류기업에 아웃소싱하는 경향이 높았다. 서비스 개선 동기요인에 의해서는 국내기업, 대기업, 종합물류기업에 아웃소싱을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to present implications from analyzing the type of forwarder selected based on the outsourcing motivations of shippers. Research design, data, and methodology : This study separates logistics outsourcing motivational factors and types of forwarders into small and large, domestic and global, general and specialized. A questionnaire targets practitioners who have experience in business relationships with forwarders. Logistic regression analysis is used to test the research hypotheses. Results : We found that shippers who pursue freight rate reduction as a motive for outsourcing prefer domestic companies, SMEs, and general logistics companies. Companies that promote outsourcing to focus on their core business have a high preference for domestic companies, large companies, and specialized logistics companies. Shippers motivated by a logistics capacity tend to outsource to foreign companies, large corporations, and general logistics companies. Based on the motivating factors for service improvement, we found that outsourcing to domestic companies, large enterprises, and general logistics companies is preferred. Conclusions : Overall, the preferences for domestic companies, large enterprises, and general logistics companies in logistics outsourcing factors are higher than for foreign companies, SMEs, and specialized logistics companies.
