청소년 국제체험학습 관련 국내 연구 동향 분석(2015-2022)

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 2015년 이후 청소년 대상 국제체험학습 관련 국내 연구 동향을 분석하여 관련 연구의 개선을 위한 과제 및 향후 방향을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 영역·유형·범위 영역에서 각각 키워드를 선정하고 활용하여 KISS에서 추출된 127개 논문을 대상으로 연도별 연구 수, 학술지별 빈도를 분석하고 주제어의 빈도수, 네트워크 텍스트 분석 및 클러스터 분석을 했다. 그 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 관련 연구물은 2015년 이후 급감한 후 2017년부터 증가하기 시작했다. 둘째, 관련 연구물은 국제교육관련 저널에 편중되어 게재되었다. 셋째, 빈도수 및 네트워크 텍스트 분석 결과, 대상 측면에서는 ‘중등교육’ 관련이 가장 적었고, 유형적 측면에서는 ‘해외봉사’ 관련 연구가 가장 많았다. 넷째, 클러스터 분석 결과, ‘2019’년도와 ‘해외봉사’가 높은 연결성으로 군집화 되었는데, 이는 2018년에 시작된 정책인 ‘장기 해외봉사단을 통한 일자리 창출’의 영향으로 보인다. 다섯째, '온라인 교류'는 빈도와 중심성이 모두 낮았다. 본 연구의 결론 및 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘중등교육’을 대상으로 한 연구가 거의 없어서 향후 이에 관한 연구가 더 필요하다. 둘째, ‘해외봉사’는 가장 활발하기는 하지만, ‘취업 스펙쌓기’ 등 해외봉사의 도구적 측면이 강조되고 있어서, 해외봉사의 목적과 의미와 관련한 논의가 더 요구된다. 셋째, ICT 기반 또는 블랜디드형 관련 연구가 더 필요하다. 마지막으로, 연구 수와 주제어가 정책과 사회적 현상에 따라 민감하게 변화하고 있는 상황임에도, 청소년 국제체험학습을 지속적으로 연구하는 연구진의 수가 너무 부족하여, 이에 대한 관련 연구진들의 관심과 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze trends in domestic research on international experiential learning targeting youth since 2015, to find out tasks and future directions. For the research trend analysis, 127 papers were selected from KISS using keywords related to ‘area’, ‘type’, ‘scope’. The papers were analyzed utilizing Network Text Analysis. The results were as follows. First, the number of publications, while having shown a significant decrease since 2015, started to increase in 2017. Second, a great number of studies was published by international education-related academies. Third, while ‘overseas volunteer’ was the most prevalent research subject, ‘secondary education’ was the least popular one. Fourth, the cluster analysis result revealed a strong connection between ‘2019’ and ‘overseas volunteer', which the policy ‘Job creation through overseas volunteer’, undertaken since 2018, seemed to have an impact. Fifth, ‘online exchange' shows a low value both in frequency and centrality degree. The implications were as follow. First, since the research about ‘secondary education’ has small numbers, more research needs to be conducted. Second, regarding ‘overseas volunteer’ commonly used for personal interest like ‘building up employment qualification’, further discussions on the purpose and meaning of it are required. Third, more research on ICT-based and ICT blended-related are needed. Lastly, the number of researchers who has continuously studied on ‘international experiential learning’ for youth is not enough regarding that the frequency and keywords of studies have been easily affected by policies and social phenomena. Therefore, constant effort by researchers seems to be needed.
