발달지연 아동의 고유수용성 감각 기반 치료 활동이 감각처리 및 문제행동에 미치는 효과: 사례 연구

국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 발달지연 아동에게 고유수용성 감각 기반 치료 활동이 아동의 감각처리 및 문제행동에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 방법: 본 연구의 대상자는 발달지연은 진단받은 만 5세아동 2명으로 고유수용성 감각 기반 치료 활동을 통한 중재를 하였다. 중재 시간은 회기당 50분씩 실시하였고, 중재 기간은 주 1회씩 총 12회기 동안 진행하였다. 중재 전과 후에는고유수용성 감각 기반 치료 활동의 효과를 알아보기 위해 감각처리는 감각 프로파일(Sensory Profile)과 문제행동은 아동 청소년 행동평가 척도(Korean-Child Behavior CheckList) 로 평가를 하였다. 자료의 분석은 중재 전과 후의 차이 값을산출하여 비교하였고, 그래프를 통한 시각적 분석을 하였다. 결과: 고유수용성 감각 기반 치료 활동 후 대상자 1은 감각프로파일에서 감각처리, 시각처리, 전정감각처리, 촉각처리, 다감각처리, 구강감각처리, 지구력 및 근긴장도 조절, 신체자세 움직임 조절, 활동 정도 조절 항목에서 명확한 차이에서의심성 차이로 개선되었고, 아동 청소년 행동평가 척도에서위축, 우울 및 불안, 사회적 미성숙, 주의집중 문제, 공격성, 내재화 문제, 외현화 문제에서 개선된 결과가 나타났다. 대상자 2는 감각 프로파일에서 반응역치 항목을 제외한 모든항목에서 개선이 되었고, 아동 청소년 행동평가 척도에서위축, 우울/불안, 사회적 미성숙, 사고의 문제, 주의집중 문제, 비행, 공격성, 내재화 문제, 외재화 문제 척도에서 개선된 결과가 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구에서는 고유수용성 감각 기반 치료 활동은 발달지연 아동의 감각처리 및 문제행동에 긍정적인 영향을주는 것을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of proprioceptive sensory-based therapeutic activities on sensory processing and problematic behavior in children with developmental delay. The participants of this study were two 5-year-old children diagnosed with developmental delay that was mediated through proprioceptive sensory-based therapeutic activities. The mediation done once a week for 50 minutes per session, for a total of 12 sessions. To examine the effects of proprioceptive sensory-based treatment activities, sensory processing was evaluated using the Sensory Profile and problematic behaviors were evaluated using the Korean Child Behavior Checklist before and after the intervention. Data analysis was performed by calculating the difference in values before and after the intervention, and visual analysis was done using graphs. After the proprioceptive sensory-based treatment activity, participant 1 was clear in the following items: sensory profile, sensory processing, visual processing, vestibular sensory processing, tactile processing, multisensory processing, oral sensory processing, endurance and muscle tone control, body posture movement control, and activity level control. The difference improved from that of the doubt difference, and the results showed improvement in atrophy, depression and anxiety, social immaturity, attention problems, aggression, internalization problems, and externalization problems in the child and adolescent behavior evaluation scale. Participant 2 showed an improvement in all items except the reaction threshold items in the sensory profile, and atrophy, depression/anxiety, social immaturity, thinking problems, attention problems, delinquency, aggression, internalization problems, and externalization in the child and adolescent behavior evaluation scale. Improved results were found on the problem scale. This study confirmed that proprioceptive sensory-based therapeutic activity had a positive effect on sensory processing and problematic behavior in children with developmental delay.
