국문 초록

이 논문의 목적은 칸트의 이론철학에서 신 존재 증명을 정립하고 인간의 도덕적 삶의 근간이 신에 대한 신앙과 희망임을 밝히는 데 있다. 칸트가 형이상학을 학문으로서 재정립하는 과정에서 나타나는 신 존재 증명의 문제는 무엇인가? 특히 전통적 신 존재 증명을 거부한 칸트 주장의 근거는 무엇인가? 이 논문은 칸트가 전통 형이상학과는 다르게 제시하고자 하는 신 존재 증명과 그 근거, 전통 형이상학자들의 주장에 대한 태도를 검토하고, 그리고 결론에서 그 유용성을 규명할 것이다. 이를 위해 『순수이성비판』을 텍스트로 삼고 칸트 비판서 이전의 『신의 현존을 입증하기 위한 유일하게 가능한 증명 근거』 등의 자료들을 참고하여 신 존재 증명의 문제를 구명할 것이다. 칸트는 신 존재 문제의 토대를 마련하면서 『순수이성비판』 [B판] 서론에서 ｢철학은 모든 선험적(a priori) 인식의 가능성과 원리들과 범위를 규정해 주는 학문을 필요로 한다.｣는 주제로 우리의 어떤 인식들은 모든 가능한 경험(Erfahrung)의 영역을 벗어나서, 경험 중에서는 그에 상응하는 대상이 주어질 수 없는 개념들에 의거해 우리의 판단의 범위를 경험의 모든 한계를 넘어 초월적(transzendental)세계까지 확장하려는 모습을 가지고 있다는 점에 대해 설명하고 그 대안의 필요성을 강조 제기한다. 따라서 우리는 칸트의 이론철학에서 신 존재 증명이라는 주제 아래 ‘신의 실재성(die Realität Gottes)’ 증명 여부를 탐구할 수 있겠다. 칸트에 의하면 신 존재 증명 여부는 불가능하다. 왜냐하면, 형이상학의 대상들은 감성세계의 현상학적 대상들처럼 지성개념의 원리와 방식에 따라 인식할 수 있도록 증명이 가능하지 않기 때문이다. 초월세계의 형이상학적 대상들은 사고할 수는 있으나 경험적으로 증명 여부는 불가능하다는 것이 ‘칸트의 신관’이다. 칸트의 논의에 따라 먼저 추론 가능한 형이상학적 대상인 신의 현존에 대한 유일한 증명 근거를 검토하고, 신 존재 증명에 대한 논증을 정리한 후, 신의 존재를 존재론적, 우주론적, 물리 신학적으로 증명하려는 사변적 시도들의 불가능성을 검토하고 칸트의 입장에서 비판한다. 결국 형이상학적 대상인 신 존재는 이념(Idee)적 가상(Schein)일뿐이어서 증명의 대상이 아니라, 신앙(Glaube)과 희망(Hoffnung)의 대상이라는 사실을 규명함으로써 인간의 도덕적 삶의 근간을 규명할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to establish a proof of divine existence in Kant's theoretical philosophy and to reveal that the basis of human moral life is faith and hope in God. What is the problem of proving the existence of God in Kant's process of re-establishing metaphysics as a discipline? In particular, what is the basis for Kant's argument that rejected the traditional proof of existence of God? This paper will examine Kant's Proof of God's existence, its basis, and attitudes toward the arguments of traditional metaphysics, and clarify its usefulness in conclusions. To this end, the problem of proving God's existence will be investigated by using Pure Reason Criticism as a text and referring to data such as “the only possible basis for proving the existence of God's before Kant's criticism. Kant laid the foundation for the problem of God's existence and under the theme of “Philosophy requires learning that defines the possibility, principles and scope of all a priori perceptions,” some of our perceptions go beyond the limits of all possible experiences, based on concepts that cannot be given corresponding to them. Therefore, we can explore whether or not to prove 'The reality of God's under the theme of proof of God's existence in Kant's theoretical philosophy. According to Kant, it is impossible to prove the existence of God. This is because metaphysics objects cannot be proved so that they can be recognized according to the principles and methods of intellectual concepts like phenomenological objects in the emotional world. Kant's God's belief is that metaphysical objects in the transcendental world can be thought about, but empirically it is impossible to prove. Based on Kant's discussion, we first review the sole basis for proof of God's existence of God, a metaphysical object that can be inferred, organize arguments for proof of divine existence, then review the impossibility of speculative attempts to prove God's existence ontologically, cosmologically, and physically. In the end, we will clarify the basis of human moral life by finding out that the metaphysical object of God is not only an ideological virtual and is not an object of proof, but an object of faith and hope.
