국문 초록

본 연구는 디즈니 애니메이션 <모아나>(2016)를 고대 수메르의 이난나 신화의 여신 원형에 기반한 여성 영웅 서사 모델 9단계로 살펴보고, 위대한 어머니 여신 원형의 양가성을 분석하였다. 모아나는 부족의 규칙에서 벗어나 먼 바다로 항해를 꿈꾸고, 항해자였던 선조들처럼 바다로 나아가기를 원한다. 모아나는 어머니 여신의 조력으로 창조와 생명의 여신 테 피티(Te Fiti)의 심장을 돌려주기 위한 모험을 떠난다. 이 과정에서 남성 영웅 마우이의 도움을 받기는 하지만 순수한 전사이자, 항해자로서 주체적인역할을 담당한다. <모아나>의 서사에는 이난나 여신의 하강 신화를 바탕으로 한 여성 영웅 서사 9단계가 구현되고 있다. <모아나>의 테 피티와 용암 괴물 테 카(Te Kā), ‘바다’는 위대한 어머니 여신 원형의 양가성을 보여준다. 모아나는 위대한 여신의 양가성을 통합 화해시키는 중재자다. 또한 남성성에의해 전복된 근원적 정체성을 회복하여 세계 질서를 바로잡는 신화적 여성 영웅이다.

영문 초록

This study examines the Disney animation (2016) as 9 stages of a female hero narrative model based on the ancient Sumerian Inanna goddess archetype, and analyzes the ambivalence of the Great Mother Goddess archetype. Moana dreams of sailing far away from the rules of the tribe, and wants to go out to sea like the her ancestors who were sailors. In the course of her quest to return the heart of Te Fiti, goddess of creation and life, with the aid of her mother goddess. With the help of the Mother Goddess, Moana sets out on an adventure to return the heart of Te Fiti, the goddess of creation and life. In the process, she takes on the lead role as a pure warrior and navigator, although she is helped by the male hero Maui. In the narrative of , 9 stages of a female heroic narrative are implemented based on the myth of the descent of the goddess Inanna. In , the goddess Te Fiti, the lava monster Te Kā, and the ‘sea’ show the ambivalence of the great mother goddess archetype. Moana is the mediator who unites and reconciles the ambivalence of the great goddess. She is also a mythical female hero who sets the world order right by restoring her original identity overturned by masculinity.
