국문 초록

본 논문은 한국 드라마 <태양의 후예>를 분석하여 홍보가 한 나라의 소프트 파워 전략에 어떻게 작용하는지, 그리고 문화와 이데올로기의 전파가 전 세계 매체 환경에서 어떻게 전파되는지를 탐구하였다. 우선 국가 주도의 소프트 파워를 홍보에 접목한 이론적인 틀을 제시하였다. 그리고 한국 영화와 드라마의 홍보 역사를 정리하였다. 이어서 <태양의 후예>는 소프트 파워가 갖춰진 한류 드라마이자 홍보 드라마임을 논의하였다. 끝으로 소프트 파워, 홍보, 한류 대중문화 사이의 관계, 국가가 대중문화의 생산과 보급에 어떻게 참여하는지, 그리고 이 과정에서 소프트 파워가 어떻게 적용되는지를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The text analyzed the Korean drama Descendants of the Sun to explore how publicity works on a country s soft power strategy and how the spread of culture and ideology spreads in media environments around the world. First of all, a theoretical framework in which state-led soft power is applied to publicity was presented. And the promotional history of Korean movies and dramas was summarized. Subsequently, it was discussed that Descendants of the Sun is a Korean Wave drama and a promotional drama with soft power. Finally, it presented the relationship between soft power, publicity, Korean Wave popular culture, how the state participates in the production and distribution of popular culture, and how soft power is applied in this process.
