국문 초록

1990년대 말부터 시작된 한국영화에 대한 대중의 관심은 영화산업의 경제효과 등을 중심으로 거론되었고, 대학간 경쟁을 가속화하는 교육정책은 대학들이 산업에 대한 깊이 있는 이해와 장기적인 안목을 미처 갖추기도 전에 입학자원인 학생들에게 인기 있는 학과를 앞다투어 개설하면서 대학마다 영상관련 학과들이 우후죽순 생겨나게 되는 결과로 나타났다. 그러나 90년대말 이후 영화산업은 디지털의 도입과 함께 제작시스템과 테크놀로지의 급격한 변화를 맞게 된다. 더욱이 한국영화산업은 투자, 제작사의 상황까지 더해져 투자, 제작구조에 더욱 큰 변화를 맞이하게 되면서 장기적인 교육계획 없이 급조한 각 대학의 영상관련 학과들은 큰 위기를 맞고 급기야 구조조정에 내몰리게 된다. 이 글은 90년대말부터 대학의 영상관련학과들이 본격적으로 구조조정되기 시작한 2010년까지 영화촬영 분야를 중심으로 대학의 영화실기교육 여건을 살펴보면서 문제점과 대안을 모색해 보고자 한다.

영문 초록

Public interest in Korean films, which began in the late 1990s, was highlighted by the economic effects of the film industry. And the education policy to accelerate intercollegiate competition resulted in universities rushing to open popular departments even before they had an in-depth understanding of the industry and a long-term insight, leading to the creation of video-related departments in each university. Since the late 1990s, however, the film industry will face a major change in production systems and technology with the introduction of digital. Moreover, the Korean film industry will experience a drastic change in its investment and production system, and the structure of the film industry will change rapidly. Therefore, the video-related departments of each university face a major crisis and are forced to restructure. The article aims to explore problems and alternatives by examining the conditions of film practical education at universities, focusing on cinematography, from the end of the 1990s to 2010 when the university s video-related departments began to restructure.
