국문 초록

본 연구는 요한복음에 등장하는 이중 아멘에 대한 연구이다. 이제까지 이 주제를 다룬 연구는 2001년에 발표된 쿨페퍼(R. Alan Culpepper)의 소논문인 “The Origin of the ‘Amen, Amen’ Sayings in the Gospel of John” 한 편밖에 없을 정도로 이 주제에 대한 연구가 부족할 뿐만 아니라 쿨페퍼의 이 연구는 이중 아멘의 기원에 초점을 맞추었다. 따라서 이 쿨페퍼의 연구의 부족한 점을 보충하기 위해 본 연구는 이 발언의 위치적 특성, 내용적 특성, 장르적 특성, 기능 및 수사학적 효과를 검토했다. 내용적 특성에 관해서는 생명, 예언, 그리스도의 선재 사상 세 가지가 두드러짐을 제안했다. 장르적 특성에 관해서는 10:1과 12:24를 비유로, 13:16과 21:18을 잠언으로 분류했다. 마지막 기능 및 수사학적 효과에 관해서는 기존 학자들의 핵심 진술의 기능과 새로운 정보를 전달하는 기능에 더하여 강조의 기능을 새롭게 제안했다.

영문 초록

This study is about double amen in the Gospel of John. Thus far, there has been only one article on this topic, “The Origin of the ‘Amen, Amen’ Sayings in the Gospel of John,” published by R. Alan Culpepper in 2001. This study focuses on the origin of double amen. Therefore, to make up for the shortcomings of this Culpepper s research, my study examined the locational characteristics, content characteristics, genre characteristics, and functions and rhetorical effects of this saying. Regarding the content characteristics, three things were suggested: life, prophecy, and Christ s pre-existence. For genre traits, 10:1 and 12:24 were classified as parables, and 13:16 and 21:18 were classified as Proverbs. As for functions and the rhetorical effects, I propose the function of emphasis in addition to the function of conveying new information and the function of the core statements that scholars have proposed thus far.
