국문 초록

최근 급격한 사회변화와 다양한 국적의 한국어 학습자가 생겨남에 따라 한국어 교사의 다양한 능력이 요구되고 있다. 이 논문은 한국어 교사들의 능력을 강화하기 위한 재교육이 필요하다고 주장한다. 한국어 교사가 되는 방법은 다양하다. 여기에서는 한국어 교사가 되기까지의 교육과정과 교육내용 등을 살펴보고, 현직 한국어 교사들에게 받은 설문지의 결과를 통해 어떤 재교육이 그들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 것인가를 고민했다. 한국어 교사들에게 실시한 설문조사는 성별, 나이, 경력 등을 질문하는 기초조사와 한국어 재교육에 대한 인식 및 실태 조사, 그리고 요구조사로 이뤄져 있다. 이번 설문조사는 참여한 한국어 교사의 수가 적다는 단점이 있긴 하지만, 한국어 교사들이 원하는 재교육의 방법과 내용을 구체적으로 알 수 있어서 의의가 있다. 이 설문조사 결과를 통해서 재교육 프로그램의 방향과 구성내용 등에 대해 검토할 수 있었고, 추후 계속적인 연구로 이어가려 한다. 효과적인 한국어 교사 재교육을 위해서는 다음과 같은 방안을 제시한다. 먼저 교육 현장에서 필요한 상황대처능력과 국어학적 지식을 습득할 수 있도록 워크숍과 특강자리를 체계적으로 마련해야 한다. 또 시·공간적인 제약이없는 국가적 차원의 온라인 재교육 프로그램을 개설하여 누구나 접근할 수있는 평등하고 지속적인 교육이 필요하다. 논문 1장에서는 한국어 교사들의 역량강화를 위한 한국어 교사 재교육의중요성을, 2장에서는 한국어 교사들의 재교육에 대한 인식조사와 요구조사에관한 내용을, 3장에서는 설문조사의 결과를 바탕으로 한국어 교사 재교육의방향과 한국어 교사 역량강화를 위한 교육방법을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Amidst rapid societal changes, and with a rising number of Korean learners being of different nationalities, diverse skills are required to become a Korean teacher. This research study asserts that retraining is required to strengthen the Korean teachers’ core competencies.There are several ways to become a Korean teacher. This study covers the Korean teacher training curriculum and its contents, and considers how retraining should be carried out to be more practical and helpful to Korean teachers based on their responses to the survey. The survey covers the basic demographic information of Korean teachers such as their gender, age, career, and their awareness and requirements about Korean language retraining. Although only a small number of Korean teachers responded to this survey, it is still important as it identified their preferred retraining program direction, as well as the program’s contents in detail. Through this survey, the retraining program direction and its contents could be reviewed, and we aim to build upon this study in the future. To retrain Korean teachers more effectively, the following proposals have been put forward. Primarily, workshops and extended learning courses should be arranged in a more systematic manner. Through those the teachers can acquire abilities to handle potential problems arising at their workplaces in addition to deeper linguistic knowledge about Korean. Moreover, at a nation level, online retraining programs should be implemented to enable sustainable and fair education that is widely accessible without temporal or spatial constraints. Chapter 1 covers the importance of retraining Korean teachers to improve their core competencies, and Chapter 2 covers the Korean teachers’ awareness of requirements pertaining to retraining. Chapter 3 outlines the retraining program direction and how it should be carried out to enhance the teachers’ core competencies based on the survey results.
