비혼 중년여성의 홀로하기를 통한 자기성찰 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 비혼 중년여성의 홀로하기를 통한 자기성찰 경험에 대한 심리적 본질과 경험적 구조를 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 B지역, Y지역에 거주하는 47~55세 사이의 법적으로 혼인 경험이 없는 비혼 중년여성 총 7명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하 였다. 수집된 자료는 현상학적 연구방법을 통해 경험의 공통된 의미단위를 기초로 하여 8개의 구성요소와 24개의 하위 구성요소로 도출하였다. 비혼 중년여성에게 현재의 삶은 홀로하기의 과정적 삶이며, 이러한 홀로하기는 주체적인 존재로서 살아가고 능동적인 홀로하기의 방안을 탐색 실천하게 되며, 이를 통해 사회적 시선과 기준에 휩쓸러 가지 않기 위해 고민하는 존재로서 자신의 내면에 깊이 몰두하여, 자신의 내면에 대한 깊은 탐색을 하게 된다. 이러한 태도는 타인에게 의존하지 않고 제대로 살아가고자 하는 성장 요인 으로 작용하며, 지속적인 자기성찰을 통해 자기를 확장하며, 성숙된 나로서 얻은 자유와 행복의 관점으로 타인과 사회를 바라보며, 더불어 함께하는 삶으로 나아가고자 하는 과정으로 해석되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의미와 한계를 논하였으며, 향후의 연구 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the introspective experience of the being alone of the single middle-aged women deeply and contextually with their own statement. This study used the vivid stories obtained from seven participants who live d in Busan as purposive sampling and these interviews were done for two or three times after research agreement. Using the Giorgi s phenomenological method, this study had undergone a process of analysis and interpretation. As a result, 978 meaning unit were derived and summarized into 96 meaning units, and back again tied to 24 sub-components and finally divided into 8 categories. The results of research can be summarized as follows. The current life of the single middle-aged women is a life of the being alone, such a being alone is an independent living being, finds out a way to an active unmarried. And the single middle-aged women grow to care for others as well as look out deeply into hers inner self. The introspective experience of the being alone of the single middle-aged women leads to a mature life by recovering and reinterpreting herself in a lonely time. Based on the these results, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed, and the future research directions were suggested.
