영문 초록

Based on horticulture activities that migrant women prefer and their understanding in horticulture plants and preferred job, the 15th horticulture programs have been implemented especially focused on floral design having high employment opportunity for women. This study was conducted to see how these activities influenced to occupational view and vocational maturity of migrant women. 5 differed horticultural sections - indoor planting, gardening, flower decoration and craft works, cooking with plants, taking a walk in green place and studying - were organized. A group which took employment training in all 5 sections was likely to have higher preference than a group that did not take the training. Statistical significance was shown in the section of taking a walk in green place and studying, which indicates that this section has high relation with employment training and horticulture preference. According to the result of survey on preferred horticultural plants, one or two year plants are most preferred and ones whose origins are tropical and subtropical zone are highly preferred. This implies that the migrant women prefer plants they have seen or raised in their countries. This result was reflected in composing the 15th horticulture programs. According to the horticulture programs including occupational techniques required in floral design field, it turned out that significant changes in the migrant women’s occupational view happened in intellectual stimulus and management in internal part and independence in external part. When it comes to vocational maturity, there were changes in conviction, preparation and determinacy but biggest change occurred in independence. This shows that horticultural activities focused on floral design influenced positively to occupational view and vocational maturity of multi-cultural migrant women. Therefore, follow-up researches are needed to compose horticultural job programs based on positive research result of vocational maturity and occupational view in the future.
