국문 초록

이 연구는 대학 ‘글쓰기’ 과목이 비판적 사고 능력이라는 교양 교육의 목적에 적합하게 설계, 운영, 평가되고 있는가를 전북대학교 ‘글쓰기’ 수업을 중심으로 고찰하고 적절하고 유용한 평가 방법을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 대학 교양 교과 교육으로 이루어지는 ‘글쓰기’ 과목에서 적용할 수 있는 과정 중심주의 평가로 본 논문은 다음과 같은 두 가지 방법을 제안한다. 첫 번째는 ‘협력적인 글쓰기 과정과 평가’로 조별 수업에 협력학습을 도입하는 것이다. 이는 주제에 대한 ‘토론’을 통해 자료의 타당성과 정확성을 점검하고 자신의 논지를 명확하게 하여 글쓰기 능력을 향상키는 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 협력학습에 대한 평가는 토론 이후 개별 글쓰기로 진행하여 학습자의 ‘성장 과정’을 반영한다. 다음으로는 ‘포트폴리오 평가’이다. 포트폴리오에는 ‘자기 성찰적 에세이’가 반드시 포함되어야 하며, 초고나 실패한 글을 함께 제출하여 성장 과정을 평가할 수 있는 지표로 삼는다. 포트폴리오 평가를 점수에 반영하기 위해서는 과제점수와 같은 교수자의 재량으로 평가할 수 있는 점수 비율이 높게 책정되어야 할 것이다. 이와 같은 평가 방법은 비판적 사고의 확대라는 교육 목표를 가진 대학 ‘글쓰기’의 영역에서 적용할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

영문 초록

The study focuses on writing classes at Chonbuk University and provides suggestions on whether ‘writing’ subject is designed, operated, and evaluated to fit the purpose of liberal education, which is critical thinking skills. Two assessment of process-based evaluating can be applied in ‘writing’ subject consisting of liberal education. The first is the introduction of collaborative learning into group classes as a ‘collaborative writing process and assessment’. This can be expected to improve writing skills by checking the validity and accuracy of the material and clarifying one’s thesis through the ‘discussion’ process on the topic. The assessment of collaboration learning is carried out in separate writing after discussion to reflect the ‘growth process’ of learners. Next up is ‘portfolio assesment’. The portfolio must include a ‘self-reflective essay’ and submit a draft or a failed article as an indicator to evaluate the growth process. In order for the portfolio assessment to be reflected in the scores, a high percentage of the scores, such as task scores, should be assessed at the discretion of the academic advisor. The assessment proposed in this study is expected to be applicable in the field of ‘writing ’ with an educational goal of expanding critical thinking.
