미래형 학교 교육과정 개발에 대한 외국 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 4차 산업혁명 시대의 디지털기술과 사회 변화에 따라 교육 혁신이 강조되는 시점에서 미래형 학교 교육과정과 교육방법의 방향을 모색하려는 일환으로 시도되었다. 외국 여러 나라의 교육혁신을 위한 다양한 시범적 운영사례들을 살펴봄으로써, 향후 교육개혁의 방향을 파악하고 교육 혁신전략들을 가늠하기 위한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 먼저 미래학교의 개념과 외 국의 최근 미래학교 프로젝트들의 특징들을 점검하고, 미래학교의 시범적인 교육과정 운영 형태의 동향을 살펴보았다. 미래형 학교교육은 앞으로 사회 구성원들에게 요구되는 핵심 능력을 중심으로 연결과 융합을 통한 새로운 교육콘텐츠의 개발, 여기에 테크놀로지가 접목된 교육기술 혁신, 하이브리드 학습이 가능한 학교운영방식 등의 사례들이 나타나고 있었다. 디지털 기술의 발전은 교육혁신을 촉발하였으나 교육적 성과는 기술이 해결해 주지 않으며, 역시 새로운 콘텐츠와 교수전략 방법의 지속적인 개발과 활용을 통해서 가능할 수 있을 것으로 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This study attempts to find out the ideas of future school concept, future curriculum and educational strategies in the era of rapid technological and social changes. For the purpose of this, it is tried to survey school cases of reformational attempts for adopting new educational and technological methods, new class systems in advanced countries initiating future school projects such as England, U.S.A., Finland, Japan, and Australia etc. First of all, the concepts of future school is clarified, and various cases of educational reforms are surveyed. The curriculum reform is processing cross over the subject-matters based on key-skills requiring for future citizens. New technologies such as virtual reality, 3D technologies, IOT, augmented reality, robot and AI, are added on the integrated curriculum. As a educational operation system, there are example classrooms applied the hybrid learning and game-based learning strategies. It is argued that the cutting-edge technology leads educational reform, but the solutions for educational achievement are lied on unceasing efforts to develop and improve new learning methods and strategies inter-wined with integrated and theme-based future curriculum, not only applying new technology itself.
