국문 초록

경찰공무원에 대한 우울증 관리의 소홀이 심각한 사회문제로 부각되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 경찰공무원 우울증 관리를 위해 우울감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하였다. 선행연구를 통해 우울감을 유발하는 요인으로 일반적 직무스트레스, 감정부조화, 외상후 스트레스로 구성하고 우울감에 대한 직무스트레스의 상대적 영향력을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 크게 두 가지로 요약된다. 첫째, 경찰공무원의 일반적 직무스트레스 중 직장문화에 의한 스트레스, 감정노동에 의한 감정부조화, 외상사건으로 인한 스트레스가 우울감에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 경찰공무원이 직무를 통해 경험하는 회식 같은 집단주의 문화, 일관성 없는 업무지시를 하는 직장문화, 수직적이고 권위적인 직장 분위기, 성적 차별과 같은 직장문화로 인한 스트레스와 국민들과 상호작용에서 느끼는 감정부조화, 직무상 경험하는 외상사건으로 인한 스트레스 등으로 우울감이 발생한다는 것을 보여준다. 둘째, 경찰공무원의 다양한 직무스트레스 중 우울감에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 평가한 결과 직장문화, 감정부조화, 외상후 스트레스 순으로 나타났다. 경찰공무원과 관련된 다양한 직무스트레스 중 직장문화에 의한 스트레스가 우울감에 가장 큰 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 경찰공무원의 우울에 대한 관리를 위해 먼저 경찰조직에 존재하는 직장문화에 대한 변화가 선행되어야 한다. 그 뒤를 이어 감정노동에 의한 감정부조화, 외상후 스트레스 관리가 필요하다.

영문 초록

The depression of the police officer is being magnified as the serious social issue. Affecting Factors on the depression for the management of tristimania of police officer have been searched in this research. The job stress has been selected as the factor causing the depression through the preceding research; it has been composed of the general job stress, emotional dissonance and post-traumatic stress. And the relative influence of job stress for the depression has been analyzed empirically. It is summarized as 2 kinds as the analysis result. First, the stress by the workplace culture out of general job stress of police officer and emotional dissonance by the emotional labor and the stress by the traumatic event appeared to affect the significant effect on the depression statistically. Second, the relative influence affecting on the depression appeared to be in the order of the workplace culture, emotional disharmony and post-traumatic stress. The stress by the workplace culture appeared to affect the biggest effect on the depression out of diverse job stress in relation to the police officer. Accordingly, the groupism existing in the police organization, the workplace culture instructing the inconsistent task, the vertical and authoritative workplace environment and the change of workplace culture like the sexual discrimination should be preceded for the management for the melancholy of police officer. And, in the second place, the management of emotional dissonance and post-traumatic stress by the emotional labor are necessary.
