영문 초록

The Bank of Korea(BOK) has implemented a very broad spectrum of the quasi-fiscal activities for last 30years. The quasi-fiscal activities of the BOK have limited its flexibility in the management of money supply. Also, it is found that the nominal evaluation about the soundness of government budget was misleading because it is estimated that the fiscal deficit and tax burden are underestimated by 0.99-2.55 percent point if the quasi-fiscal activities conducted by the BOK are included. In order for the BOK to serve its primary functions, the cutback of the quasi-fiscal activities is needed.
